Operation Beautiful

Some days I browse through the threads and I just want to operation beautiful all over this b!tch!
If you don't know what I'm talking about, look here: http://www.operationbeautiful.com/about-2/
I wish I could be armed with "You're beautiful" post-its all the time and just stick them on people's foreheads. I'm considering putting one above my scale, but it's a shared bathroom with my roommate who doesn't care for me much and is a skinny runner.
Anyone else have any experience with operation beautiful and/or feel compelled to post notes on various people's profiles on mfp...like all the time?

I know how one simple note can make one's day a lot brighter. It's nice to say somebody that he's beautiful just a way he is. That being said, this site is all about becoming better than you are. Even if you are beautiful there always is room to grow. And I don't think that one can be happy for long if they are not growing.
I have seen some people here at MFP who whine at their profile how ugly they are, can't get a girl/man and all that kind of BS. I could "mission beautiful' some of those people. But for most of the part I would rather support them and cheer them up to help them to become better than they are, rather than be happy with who they are at the moment. I know those both things should be on balance and you still will be unhappy with your body even if you are thin and hot, if you can't be happy with who you are. But then again, it's silly to settle down for something great if you have all the possibilities to get even more. And besides, I think that's what people are looking here at MFP, for support to reach their goals rather than hear from somebody that they are beautiful as they are. It might feel good sometimes tho... might be annoying as well...
I don't know, I guess I have mixed emotions on this one, hehe.
Become as good as you possibly can and when there is nowhere to go anymore then work on loving yourself as you are, not other way around. But that's just my opinion...0 -
Operation beautiful hit my university last year. I remember one day being really down on myself and heading to the bathroom in the journalism department. Someone had left a note on the wall mirror in there that said "everyone in the world is beautiful," with a link to operation beautiful's website.

I found one on the scale at my college's gym. It made me really happy. One of my friends worked with the project as she does a lot of work with NEDA and eating disorder awareness. It's just nice to be reminded by an external source that are bodies are part of us but they do not define us.0 -
I love this idea!!! I didn't know that there was such a thing. I got a gob of pals that are constantly going on about how they hate this or that (shoot, I get in that rut at times) and I always try to get them to focus on the positive! the post-its are a GREAT idea! I have literally written "I LOVE YOU" with an arrow pointing to my own spot in the bathroom mirror ( in case i forget who the message is for) , and every morning I remind myself to give a lil loving to the person looking at me. and then I go through the day giving out more sunshine.
love love love the postit idea tho! hmmmmmmmmmmmmmmmmm0 -
Oh, I like this! Am going to email the site to my 16 year old. Constantly telling her how beautiful she is, she never believes me......sigh.0
