If you had $75 for fitness, what would you purchase?

I have $100 from Christmas and I want to use it for workout supplies: weights, juicer, workout clothes, heart rate monitor (although I have a body bugg that is okay, I think it would help even more)

I don't know what to purchase for myself. What would you pick? If something else, let me know because I could use the ideas! I don't have a lot of stuff besides DVDs and Video Games to exercise with because we don't have a lot of money. xo I also want to start a new routine with lotssss of squats for now, so any equipment/weights that would be good for that would be nice. :]

I love my personal blender. Use it every day. A must have is a scale for weighing your food. You could probably get both of those for just around $20.

As for exercise equipment for me around my house I have a medicine, bosu and stability ball, weighted jump rope and weighted hula hoop.

Have fun spending your $$$! Just look for what interests you and you think you can stick with:)

one of those cage things that you do squats in (has to be one I can also use for pull ups), a full weight barbell and some extra weights

oh wait, 75 dollars.... well that's my wish list anyway, I'd put my 75 dollars towards that.

I live in Bahrain so can I have 75 Bahraini dinars instead? The're quite a bit bigger than dollars...

I would agree with others on the food scale and I'd probably grab a kettlebell.

Time with a coach so they can help me figure out what to do with the stuff I have at home!
  • I would buy a sandbag from medved. Or a lebert . Or some heavier dumbbells. Highest i have now is 8lbs.
  • Fitbit One
  • A heart rate monitor and a food scale. Or, personal training sessions.

this. love my polarft4. and the food scale is really good. i don't weigh every single thing, but it gives me an idea of what 4 oz of steak or 6 oz of chicken looks like.

    good luck.
  • Or a heart rate moniter. I would really like one of those.
  • I'd buy a session with a really good personal trainer who could then give you tips and workouts to do on your own that would be effective. The rest I would spent on resistance bands, or kettle bells, or whatever "equipment" the trainer recommended for you to get the most bang for your buck.

Depends somewhat on what YOUR goals are; at that price range a good pair of running shoes would be primary I would think. There are a lot of household exercises and such you can do with little to no equipment. If you were around here, I'd try to get another $25 and get a year's membership to the gym that advertises $99 yearly membership... That would open up your options tremendously. But anything you do, you have to own good shoes.
  • I want knee pads! And good, durable gloves. I'm clumsy by nature + I run so I've ruined two pairs of gloves and totally scarred up my knees from all my falls lol

I just bought a buuunch of stuff: Lots of work out clothes (doesnt seem like you can have enough), polar heart rate monitor (VERY helpful), a set of 3lb and 5lb hand weights, Jillian Michaels 30 day shred, new running shoes, socks.... There is a lot you can get! Yoga mat? Resistance bands? Think about what kind of training you like to do and get things to encourage that behavior.... but I do highly recommend a lot of work out clothes since the more you do it, the more you sweat through them!

I have a lot of stuff that I like a lot, but by far the best thing I've gotten is my Polar FT4 heart rate monitor. It makes me feel so much more confidant in my calories burns. It is AWESOME!

Yep. Got mine for $11 on amazon.

I would probably use the rest of the money for good running shoes.
