    The shake weight works as far as its claims go as it is based on techniques that work very similar to isometrics, which are an effective form of exercise. The issue isn't with effectiveness but its safety. The motion created by the shake weight, the constant vibration-like pace of it, places a lot of unnatural stress on tendons and ligaments in the arms and shoulders, especially in the shoulders, which can lead to severe injuries later on down the line. Stay away for safety's sake.
