check out the Seinfeld documentary film "Comedian" from 2002. it's a pretty interesting look at the life of a stand-up comic from the perspective of a stand-up comic.

I always loved Darren Carter (too bad we don't see too much of him anymore) and Anjelah Johnson. Stephan Colbert and John Oliver also have me in stitches.... and I know she isn't technically a "commedianne"... The Bloggess (Jennifer Lawson) gets the tears just streaming down my face...

Oh I LOVE The Bloggess! Good choice!
  • Jake Johannsen some sShowtime special he had...

I am literally on the ground incapacitated from laughter every time I read her Beyonce (the Giant Metal Chicken (Which I have found a supplier of those on I20 in Texas)) stories.

Is Demetri Martin not cool anymore?? I LOVE him but no one has mentioned him yet...saw him live in about 2010, it was great.
Also Mitch Hedberg (duh). My friends love old-school Eddie Murphy and exactly one Dane Cook routine (I don't even know! I don't even like grape jelly!), my boyfriend is obsessed with Louis CK, and my dad is a huge Seinfeld fan (the show, but I'm obsessed with Bee Movie...sue me), so those guys have also creeped in. I'm pretty bummed there aren't more women to talk about, but I do love me some Wanda (saw her in a restaurant in the next two over from me once!) and also Sarah Silverman's sketch-ish stuff (haven't seen her standup). And I love all the general funny women, you know the ones :) Also Jenna Marbles! Usually.

I just love to laugh. Sometimes I laugh even when it's not very funny.

OK, I have to come back and add Katt Williams and Chris Rock, along with anyone else who tells the truth about the drug war and tells *FUNNY* jokes about weed, and not stupid ones.
  • Bill Burr, Louis CK, Patrice O'Neal, Jon Stewart
  • Daniel Tosh... Yeah I said it.

Will Ferrell is nuts. I love his movies.

And Jim Parsons from the Big Bang Theory is hysterical. (Not sure he's classified himself as a "comedian" though.)
