Financially I'm forced to use up some can and packaged food. I don't know anything about salt content. Can you please help me with what is an acceptable amount of salt that I can feed my baby/toddler? I'd prefer to feed only organic and fresh but it's not possible right now. Will it damage his kidneys?

    The best advice I can give you is to rinse thoroughly all canned veggies due to the salt content and then you can always add your own seasonings, etc. I tend to stay clear of salt. It's not good for me. I keep a shaker of salt for when my kids are home because according to them "Mom this needs salt and you didn't add any salt to this do you?" I use Mrs. Dash for my cooking adventures. Good Luck to you.

    Look for "No salt added" or "Reduced Sodium" options......they are out there!~
  • I'm thinking more along the itmes I have such as chicken bouillon or those packaged Lipton Noodles and junk. I don't eat these types of food but I am in a pickle.
