Tuck your knees into your chest- then extend your legs out to a 45 degree angle and hold for a slow 8 count . Make sure your lower back stays inprinted to the ground (you can tuck your hands underneathe your hips to help). I usually try to do this excercise three times.

A twist on the reverse crunch- if you have a balance ball. Lie flat on your back, your legs resting up on the ball. Tuck it under your knees,so that you're technically squeezing the ball between the heels of your feet and your glutes. Your legs are bent at a 90 degree. Crunch up to your chest with your knees- the ball should be up in the air. Slowly, return the ball back to the mat.

    Hello Ali :flowerforyou:

Very basic but very effective for lower abs:

    Lay on back
Knees bent and feet flat on floor
Use a slow pumping motion pulling knees one at a time toward chest
    Keep back flat on floor
Put hands on lower abs and feel them working.

When you push each leg out in a 45 degree angle away from your torso...lead with your HEEL.
This will help you concentrate the mvmt in the lower ABS.

Slow deliberate movements that are smooth can be achieved if you breathe out when you extend.

20 Reps 4 sets = Great Lower Abs

push ups are great exercises to do for your abs. keep them sucked in and held tight, and if you're doing the push ups correctly you'll really feel it in your lower abs!

In all honesty, there are no exercises that specifically work "upper" or "lower" abs. Your abdominals are a continuous sheet of muscles--you may feel it more in certain areas but exercises really work the whole abdomen. Any abdominal exercise will work the lower abs.

Try Tubo Jam's Ab Jam for a phenomenal abdominal workout! I promise you, it works!

Reverse Crunches are great but take it easy to start out and definitely stretch before.
