I don't know how I'm supposed to be able to workout, as much as I want to it's almost impossible. I work 6 AM - 4 PM and school 5:30 PM - 10:30 PM Monday through Thursday and Friday through Sunday I work eight hour shifts and I still have to study and clean house, and I'm moving in March and getting married in the Fall and Graduating next January. Oh and I have a Bulging disc and Scoliosis and my doctors just flat out said I shouldn't workout ever again! I can't stand the way I look anymore.... HELP!

If your doctor said you shouldn't workout...why are you seeking to avoid this medical advice?

Maybe just stick with walking. That is my primary form of exercise. Get a Leslie Sansone DVD. Get up 30 minutes earlier than you usually do. Pop in the DVD and just do it. You don't have to get dressed or go anywhere.

What do you do at work? Do you sit at a desk all day? If you do google office exercises.

Any little bit helps. Sit on an exercise ball while studying or at your desk. When you go to the bathroom do a few jumping jacks or push ups. Sneak in even something simple like 10 minutes of an exercise. Do you have a stationary bike? When I was in school I read my textbooks and notes while using my stationary bike. FInd something you can do and work it in.

Diet is the main part to weight loss... You can lose weight without exercise, you just need to be super careful with your diet.

You don't NEED to work out to lose weight. You can simply cut your caloric intake.

Can you do yoga for stretching? Can you take walks at lunch time or early in the morning before starting your day? Note the early morning walk is how I started, then added an afternoon walk when weather permits (can't go back to the office looking like a drowned rat), then with the cold weather and other circumstances changed it to the treadmill at the gym after work.

You can burn calories cooking and cleaning without going to a gym for a workout.
  • where there is a will, there is a way! 30 mins of walking everyday!!! get up 30 mins earlier, just do it! make it happen.

Exercise is not a critical part of weight loss. You can lose weight through diet alone.

And if your doctor has advised you not to exercise because of back issues, you should probably listen. If you want a second opinion, go see another doctor (not the internets).

Given how many hours you are working and studying, can't someone else in your household take responsibility for the housework? Do you really need to do all that you are doing? Kitchen, bathroom, clean bedlinen and clothes are essential but these tasks can be completed pretty quickly. What do you do at lunchbreak and in the hour and a half between work and school? Getting some walking in can blow the cobwebs away and make you more productive.

Simply burn more than you eat. Thats all you need to do. Exercise is helpful but not essential when it comes to losing weight.
