Hey everyone,

I just wanted to let you guys know that i own this mat that has games and a lot of fitness exercises like running, yoga & many more! All you do it plug it right onto the TV (yellow, red & white inputs)

I just remembered about it and wanted to share with those who may want a wii but don't want to spend that much on the system & the fit board! I'd love a wii but wouldn't really use it for other games so i figured I'd give this a try & i really like it. I think some games are 2 player but they are mostly 1 player.

I found it at CVS for like 50 bucks! but here is the link for amazon:

Good Luck everyone! & by no means am i trying to make anyone buy this but i thought i would share for anyone interested :flowerforyou:

That's very helpful, actually. I'm still toying with the idea of buying the Wii stuff, but I know I will suffer from some serious buyers remorse. Those things are expensive!

yessss that was my problem!! and i still want it but feel its too much and Ive been really happy with this mat. It has floor exercises and this area where it has programed exercises for certain body parts and ill take you right though them for like 20-30 minutes straight and keep track of calories burned (idk how accurate that is but i think its OK)

Thank you so much for the tip. I'm really into running and stuff right now, but my (overweight) mother was looking into getting the wii solely for the fit game, I'm definitely going to suggest this to her!

On a scale from 1-10: How is it working for you?

    Pros and Cons?

Would you say its low impact for a big lady?

No problem! I think your mom would definitely benefit from the "jogging" part of it as she can just walk/jog to the best of her ability on the mat and it'll track her calories and stuff. its animated so it just looks like shes walking/jogging thru the woods lol.
Im sure she can do some of the yoga (same parts get a little tough). She can pick and choose what exercises she wants to do.
It also has a dancing part similar to DDR where she can do easy medium or hard and im sure that will get her heat rate going.

It also has games like bowling, basketball, tetris and some others that you do by stepping on the mat so that would be very light activity for her  I think for your mom it would be great bc there are enough low impact thing she can do especially the "ddr", walking/jogging and there are other "Olympic games" like discus, hurdles, and long jump that she can maybe do or work herself up to. Hey some activity vs no activity is defiantly good!

Cons would have to be that sometimes you cant understand what the narrator is saying but i usually do and anyways you can just follow the animated person/cartoon on the screen. Its never been a big problem tho.

From 1-10 its working like an 7-8 for me. I do it twice a week (i go to the gym too) and some of the floor exercises are tough! & for the price what more can i ask for lol. Im sure if shes consistent with the walking & some other sections as well as her food choices she will see results!

Good Luck to you and & your mom! :flowerforyou:

OMG! I bought the Xtreme Fit Gaming Matt that day you posted, because I was heading to my home town to visit for Easter and I wanted to make sure my mom liked it before leaving it there and being out 50 bucks :P
Anyway, she didn't end up liking it too much, but my mom is just stubborn like that. She thought it was moving to fast (DDR) for her 50 yr old brain... Side note, I ended up LOVING it, especially the yoga and DDR. The aerobic exercises are a little repetitive and dumb :P, but the yoga is definitely a butt kicker. I love how I can just jump onto for like 20-30 minutes, get a decent workout and get back to life. My workout routine has become, yoga everyday, Running (Treadmill) Friday, Saturday, Sunday (When I can get to the gym), and Xtremefit the days I can't, especially if I overeat calories and need a quick workout at home.

Thanks for the tip! I didn't know this alternative even existed.
