Losing weight since the only debt I have is mortgage and a car payment.

And how much weight do/did you have to lose? You are buff, yet you're in debt. You don't see the contradiction?
It's harder for me to keep a six pack than it is to pay off debt. We have a good income, so money isn't a issue. But sometimes eating high fat, high sodium, fried foods are when you have a big family parties.

I think paying debt is easier for me right now than losing weight, but it's just the point of life I am at and my schedule right now. Fortunately, I don't have much to lose in either direction, so it doesn't trouble me much.
  • hmm - i have both too but i definitely think the debt is harder - its much more time consuming and stressful.. goal for me will be in the next 6 or so months, the debt will take years (it's good debt if there is such a thing, but that doesn't make it good "/ )

Debt is much harder. That said both are reasonably under control.

    debt.

i'm about 16 months from being (mostly) debt free. i'm not really counting debt from college because that was an investment... and only has a 5% APR

I arrived in Oz 8 years ago with $60,000 of credit card debt (cleared within a year).

I've probably gained, and lost, the same number of kilos in that time too :)

Both painful in different ways ...
