Keep it up, I returned to the bike a few years ago after stopping for over 20 years and ended up placing number 2 in the nation for mountain bike racing after my second year back on wheels, stay determined, ride hard, but wear a helmet.0

I know the feeling. When I was still very heavy I decided I wanted to buy a bike again and ride it like I had when I was a kid. So I went to walmart and bought a cheapo. One of the ones that have the built in shocks in the front. I rode it with great difficulty and every time I would lean forward I would compress the shocks and the front wheel would have trouble moving. I was so disappointed and disgusted. I returned it the next day, and didnt try again for nearly six years. This last summer I rode a bike across the state of Iowa in seven days. Keep up the great work Hoss! You are gonna get there, and its gonna be sweet!0

That is absolutely wonderful! Congratulations. It has been quite a few years since I rode a bike, which is something I should correct soon. Its a great aerobic exercise that is easy on your joints0

Love your bike story on your blog. Love that you had a good ride today. Love a guy that loves a bike.
In summer of 2011, I could only ride about 5 miles on flats before my muscles were dying (and my knees felt like screaming).
In summer of 2012, did a back-to-back century ride (200 miles, Seattle to Portland, STP). Can't wait to do it again better and faster in 2013.
You can do it!0 -
