to my ladies "up in the gym working on their fitness"

Yes. Some of us don't like looking like housefraus in public, gym or otherwise.
Prince wears eyeliner EVERYWHERE
Haha, well played.0 -
If it's on, I leave it on and sweat it off.
If it's not on, f that. I do distance biking, and the only people I tend to talk to are old guys when I stop at gas stations, because they tend to be the most fascinated in what I'm doing, oddly enough.
And for the record, I do not leave the house for any other reason without my makeup on. (But I don't wear much... mostly foundation and mascara.)0 -
Everytime I leave the house I at minimum put on tinted chapstick. It's a habit and I feel half naked without it. I've come from work and been wearing makeup to the gym sometimes, but other than that, no.0
-
I go in the morning before work, so no.
However, I also often go to work without it.0 -
My friend's wife wears makeup to the gym. He started checking her text messages after that.0
-
i dont wear any ever. so thats that. but it doesnt bother me if other women do its all good. just so long as they dont smash faces with me.0
-
I wear waterproof mascara and maybe some lip tint. Just enough to give me some color, but not anywhere near what I would normally wear. Not ashamed to be looking good!0
-
Do you wear make up to the gym?
I had a job where appearance was almost everything, so when I headed to the gym afterwards, my face would be completely done. But now that I leave to go to the gym from home, I don't care to apply it.
I have a friend that WILL NOT go to the gym unless she at least has mascara and eyeliner on. To those who say "you'll sweat it off," she swears by waterproof make up.
So as superficial as it sounds, do you wear make up to the gym, and why/why not?
I used to have the same deal - straight from work so I kept the makeup on. Then one day after a really good sweaty workout I noticed how giant my pores were after a run, and got all paranoid that it was getting into my skin more.
Now I use cleansing cloths and swipe off the foundation and/or powder, but I leave me eyes done, or else I look like a mole-person.0 -
also
I do not care.
deep down.....way down
you DO NOTcare deeply

I go to gym, straight from work. So will have a little on. On weekends, I don't wear it. Train too hard, it wouldn't stay on anyway. There is one girl who goes to my gym, who wears the brighest pink lipstick, and trowels the make up on. A few of the guys have said it actually turns them off, as they just think " high maintance" straight away.

no way! i get way too sweaty, i would feel so gross with make-up on my face!
actually, i very rarely wear make-up anyways, only when im going somewhere like on a date with my husband, or to church, maybe i wear make-up about 4 days a month, seriously! i dont want to age my skin prematurely! on most days, i wear a sun screen moisturizer, thats it!0 -
Lol... One time I actually bonded extensions into my hair, knowing the sweat from a workout would make them unwearable for more than a day. I did my hair all cute, put on some makeup, a cute gym outfit... I knew the guy I was talking to was gonna be working. Terrible, I know. But you know what it did for me? It gave me a boost of confidence to workout like a BEASSSTTT!!! I knew that people were gonna be looking, for whatever reasons... So I did it to look cute and increase my workout intensity. I don't wear makeup so no. I guess I have lipgloss on sometimes but that's just what I leave the house with in general, not for the purpose of the gym. I think I'd just sweat off my makeup if i wore it there!0
-
I never ever wear makeup to the gym. If I go there after class and I have makeup on, I make sure to bring some wipes and face wash and clean my face well before I start. I still remember the one day I didn't clean my eyes as thoroughly as usual and I went into the bathroom at the end of my workout and saw a raccoon staring back at me. So embarrassing.
I just feel cleaner without makeup on, when I have sweat streaming down my face it feels like nice clean sweat instead of being mixed with foundation. I also wipe my face a lot while I'm working, and I remember reading a long time ago that certain types of makeup can cause tiny abrasions on your skin if you wipe at your face too much, which can get infected and lead to acne. It just seems simpler to go barefaced.0 -
Nope. I hardly ever wear make up though0

What do you think? I am NOT a pretty sight without it...I don't do it for other people, I do it for ME! Do what makes you feel your best! I will say if I am going first thing and not after work, then it will be alot less, but yes, always!0 -
I don't for this reason: Your pores open up when you sweat, so putting make up on will just allow all those parabens and pore clogging gunk into your skin and cause blackheads and pimples.
But, to each his own. If you want to, there's no rule that says you can't! Whatever motivates you to work it0 -
Who phucken cares? Do you what you want. I am not into what other women are wearing to the gym. Too into my damnself. Unless it's a jingle skirt. Get the phuck out of my area if so.0

As others have already said, if I'm already wearing it then yeah, I'll workout in makeup. Why should I be bothered to wash it off just because it bothers others? I workout hard, makeup does not decrease that. But I also don't put on makeup just to go to the gym.
Edit: I have good skin and am not prone to breakouts. So that reason does not apply to everyone.0 -
To each their own, I don't see anything wrong with anyone wearing makeup to workout if it makes them comfortable. I don't because I sweat profusely and I'd end up breaking out. Mostly I don't much worry about what people think my face looks like at the gym.0
-
I tend to work out in the evening, so chances are, I've already got makeup on. My makeup routine includes primers, setting spray, and waterproof mascara, so it usually doesn't even budge, regardless of how much sweating I'm doing. I don't even think twice about whether I'm wearing makeup or not. I don't know if people look at me because I don't look at them. If they are judging me...oh well.0
-
If i have it on i do, i never put it on to go to the gym. I usually try to put some face wash in my gym bag so i can wash it off, but thats not always the case.0
-
If I happen to be wearing makeup at the gym, it's probably because it was one of the off days I wore makeup to work and went to the gym straight after.
But generally I don't wear it ever anyhow.
Now I do think it's silly and sad to need makeup "just to leave the house" including the gym. But that's my own thoughts. Do what makes ya happy.0 -
I wear eyeliner EVERYDAY, for me. When I lived in a war zone and I was getting shot at I still had it on. I love my eyeliner, don't feel like "me" with out it. It makes me happy. Man I am a head case!0

If its leftover from the day, then it's there. Lol If I go first thing in the morning, then definitely not. I'm married, I have no one to impress!0
-
If it's already on my face it stays. Otherwise I wear tinted moisturizer & mascara, sometimes eyeliner. I can't stand leaving the house without something on.0
-
No makeup, just tonssssssss of sweat!0

When I'm going straight from work or class, I have makeup on. But other than that, I don't see the point. I'm just going to sweat it all off. And I don't rock the damp, make-up streaked face look!0
