Lifters- where was the first place you saw a change?

Just interested to know where it was for different people that you first saw definition with strength training.
For me, it was my arms first, and my back. Next was my calves and hamstrings. My quads and stomach are finally starting to catch up.
I still remember the first time I saw "real muscles" when flexing my arm. I was holding on to the support strap they have on the train and happened to look at my bicep. I damn near fell over.

Probably neck and chest for me. When I first started lifting I was all about the bench press.0
-
My shoulders... probably because I carry so little fat there, so the progress was more immediately visible.0
-
Biceps. Quads. Calves. Back. In that order.0
-
shoulders is were i saw the muscle growing, my neck is where i noticed the fat disappearing.0

Back, biceps, chest, glutes, hamstrings, quads, obliques. In that order.0
-
Arms definitely. :bigsmile:0

Chest, then arms, then shoulders, and now I'm seeing it in my back.
When I lifted and rode my bike during the spring and summer, I saw a change in my hiney.0 -
Calves before anything, then arms.0

I have no input yet (I personally haven't seen a change since I started but it's only been about a month so I'm not surprised) but was wondering this myself yesterday so I'm glad you posted0

Calves and arms for me!0

The kitchen. When I lift I am more conscious about what I put in my mouth because I want to see results.0
-
My back. I don't notice because I can't really see it (haha), but my husband said to me me day, "Wow, your back looks really buff!"0
-
Triceps and shoulders. I just need to look at a weight for my triceps to grow!0
-
My calves. I lost fat there fairly quickly which allowed the definition to show more.0
-
my legs (i normally squat when lifting), so the entire length gets blasted0

1-shoulders
2-biceps0 -
I've been lifting a year. I'm 2-3x stronger on most lifts. The only change so far is iron-clad glutes.
otherwise, everything is exactly the same.0 -
Shoulders. My shirts are a lot tighter across the shoulders now than ever before, to the point where it is slightly uncomfortable, but I really enjoy the fact I'm getting more muscles, so I won't stop over a little discomfort.0

Arms then chest the shoulders/back-after a solid year waist/sides and legs-Look forward to more changes;-)0
-
Biceps, forearms and shoulders.
The legs are finally starting to see some muscle!0 -
Biceps and shoulder first...legs about a month later..now I'm desperately trying for the abs...this is by far teh hardest fitness goal I've gone after yet.0
-
arms first! then upper abs (not so much the lower) but i can see my uppers haha0
-
Bicep and shoulders first than oblique. My lady pecs were also in the first things that appeared but just because I lost my tatas0
-
Biceps and quads. My quads always "bulk up" fast, even if I'm just running. I LOVE that I have real muscle in my arms now. I had never had that before.
Now, calves are toning up and my stomach is getting flatter (no visible abs though).0 -
Shoulders and arms, then chest.0

On the end of the bar0
