Well - interestingly women are the most fertile at the higher end of the normal range on the BMI scale (but not in the overweight range). Most likely that would be the healthiest weight for them. I agree that the health risks of being slightly underweight are greater than slightly overweight especially in the elderly who are more likely to die. Also, I have read that there are a lot of 'skinny-fat' people out there. You cannot neccessarily judge fat/healthy metabolism based on weight alone.0
