I am 5`3" and have lost 83 lbs since Aug of 2011 on here. My current pic is my profile pic and I have a few lovely (NOT) pics in my profile. Good luck, we can do this! I have 24 more to go.

Hi, I am 5' 3" and have not yet reached my goal. I had an all time high of about 225 lbs. I lost about 60 +/- a few years back and now I'm going for my ultimate goal weight. I've been back on MFP for a little more than 4 months. I started at 163 lbs. and am down to about 127, I don't weight in all the time so I'm down more than is reflected on my profile. My goal is 115 although I could ultimately have it anywhere between 110 and 118. My first pics are from about 163 lbs. and the more recent ones are from a few pounds ago.

The good news about being vertically challenged (ha, ha) is that every lb. we lose we can really tell!!!

Good luck to everyone and congrats for being dedicated enough to be on this amazing site!

    Great work everyone! Beautiful photos.
  • I am 5' 3" - my husband and I do a yearly diet to lose all the weight that we gain the previous year.... however I still have had the weight creep. This year I weighed in at 140; I guess the "ideal" weight is 132 - but being high risk for diabetes - I am going for 129 by March 1st.

Your starting weight is where I am right now, I am at my heaviest. I have tried to loose weight but would yoyo like so many dieters. Your story inspired me.

I'm 5'3".... I was able to maintain 112 lbs without any diet for 2 years even after I turned 30... but since my life had some dramatic change I am currently weighing 130lbs and had to replace my whole wardrobe...

Working on getting back to 112lbs now, friend me please!!! I need more encouragement and motivation!!!

5'3 1/2" here too. It is so hard being short....no where to hide a few extra pounds...lol Was up to 175 and at 143 right now. Looking to hit at the very least 125. Back in the day was 110 but think being that small again will be awfull...I am 45 and see so many my age going back to 20' s weight and they look old and sick! My oppinion anyway. Looking for supportive friends in the same boat....I added new friends for the new year but their weight loss issues r so diff than mine. I need to cut calories and exercise....I have noticed alot eat alot and that does not work for me! I am 1000 cal a day and need to exercise too....without both I lose NOTHING!

I'm 5'3", started at 86kgs (190lbs) and got down to 60kgs (132lbs) but back up to 65kgs (143lbs). Need to get to at least 45-50kgs (100-110lbs) until I won't look fat thanks to having no boobs and huge bum!! :'(
