How long did it take you to lose all that weight0

I'm 5'4'' and trying to lose over 70 lbs. I've lost over 20 of those so far. I love looking at everyone's before and afters. It really motivates me to keep going. Any 5'4''ish ladies out there who have had success?
I'm 5.2 and weigh 207 and I want to get to around same as you. i used to weigh 237 and got down to 184 at 1 point by using a pt trainer. eating around 1600 cals' and working out with weights and hard cardio 5 to 6 times a week.
I did use different diets but i found using the idea of "healthy not additives and rubbish kinda foods" worked best. I eat 3 meals a dayplus 2 small healthy snacks and i found that my blood sugar evened out and I wasn't craving or hungry to eat rubbish all the time. I also allowed myself 1 full day off exercise at least and 1 day off dieting a week. having a day off helped me around living a normal life, so if I wanted to go out once a week to friends or for a meal. the day off helped.
Good luck in your endevours and keep your chin up, work hard but also remeber that the scales are not everything, being healthy is the most important and losing body fat is a good way of measuring your losses.
Also do your measurements too every 2 to 4 weeks and don't get too down if you're weight is sticking. As long as you're losing fat your body will look tighter and more toned all over. xx0 -
Hiya, I'm about 5ft 3 and started off around 190 and now at 153 , exercising daily and trying to stay under goal

would still like to 7-14 lb x x x0 -
I'm 5'4" and have gone from 194 to 162 since late August. I still have another 30 to go but I've slacked off lately. My next mini goal is to be at -35 by my 35th birthday. That's 3 pounds in less than 2 weeks. I diet much better when my hubs is out of town and he's been home a long time.0

Just stick with it and it will happen. Don't get discouraged when the numbers start to slow down. Remember to track your measurements as well. ETA: 5'4" here!
Taken at the end of Nov. im the one in blue Current Weight is 152 with a goal of 135-140.

I'm 5' 4" and started at 250 pounds a few weeks ago. I don't have any current photos of myself because I'm way too self-conscious to be in front of a camera. Maybe after I've reached my first weight loss goals. So far I've lost a little weight by cutting out fast food and preparing my own meals from scratch. I'm eating more vegetables and starting each day with a protein shake with fruit. Reading these forums has been very helpful too and i'm trying to become a more active poster. I love tracking my food intake on MFP and making sure I have balanced meals each day.
I love to walk and swim and I'm trying to get myself motivated to start exercising again. Walking was getting painful because of my excess weight so I had to stop that this summer.
Good luck to us all!0 -
I'm 5'4 and currently 236. I started the weight loss journey in November and I have since lost a total of 10 pounds but it's a new year so I reset all my goals and my weight on 1/1/2013 and I've lost 3lbs since then
Anyone can add me also0 -
I'm 5'4 and currently at 156. Started at 165 at the beginning of December. Goal weight is 135, but I could go down to 130, maybe 125, depending on how I feel. Quit smoking 9 months ago, so I did gain some weight from that, too. But I had already been putting on extra weight (I was always around 125-130 comfortably for years),
I mainly ride my exercise bike or walk/jog on the treadmill (I prefer to walk outside, but it's so cold in NY right now). I also like to do some tv workouts like Gilad's shows. I'd like to add some weight training as well. I do it all at home.
Feel free to add me. I log on daily and love to give and get encouragement.0 -
I'm 5'4", went from 165 i'm at 130 right now. Staying active, changing up my workout routine every 3-4 months so I don't get bored. 1200 calories a day with no workouts, up to 1600cals depending on what kind of intensity workout i did that day. Know when it's time to take a break but stay at maintenance calories....say NO to gaining! Good luck0

Hello!!! First of all, congrats on beginning your journey! You CAN do this and you WILL succeed!!!
I am 5"4 and started at 225. I got down to 155 by December 8th; 70lbs gone in about 9 months! For the first several months i was limited as to what i could do after recouperating from an injury and surgery. I unfortunately put about 9 lbs on (almost all waiter weight) right after that due to being sick and the holidays. Tomorrow is my official weigh in day, but when i checked this morning i was already down to 157 again. I workout hard and eat clean (and eat a lot!)! My goal is to be anywhere between 115-130. It really depends on my bodyfat %. I am training to compete in figure/bikini competitions.
Good luck and feel free to add me if you need support!

I'm 5'4" trying to get to 125! I have like 40 pounds to go! I am working harder for this then I ever have before. This may sound really vain in a way but I'd like to be 125 before my husband and I start trying for kids. That way before i am pregnant I am in the habit of working out and eating healthy. It will help keep me active and healthy during the pregnancy and after as well! I told him I wouldn't get pregnant until we accomplished 4 things: 1) get a dog 2) buy an SUV 3) buy a house and 4) me weighing 125. 1 and 2 are completed, 3 and 4 we are working on!0

Hi there! I'm 5'2" and at my heaviest I weighed 211lbs. About a year and a half ago I lost over 30lbs, but didn't keep it off. Now I'm weighing in at about 190lbs, and am hoping to lose about 50lbs. I know that I have it in me to be successful, it is just so hard to stay on the wagon when I am so tired after work and classes. If you ever need some encouragement or someone to talk to, feel free to say hi!0

I am 5'3 and started around 220. I am now down to 147 and hope to get down to 130-135 this year. Started in March 2011. I lost majority of the weight during the 1st year. Last year I lost only about 15-20 pounds as work, travel and other distractions slowed down my progress. I also feel that my body needed the break from the large amount of weight loss from the 1st year. Hoping to get back on track and lose the last 15-20 pounds this year. Good luck and feel free to add me as a friend.0

I'm 5'3 and 154..trying to get to 117.0

I am 5'5" and starting at 216 looking for 135 or 130. No success yet as I'm struggling with medical issues that hinder weight loss. Feel free to add me if you'd like. I'm taking the approach of something similar to Atkins this year.0

I'm 5'4 and looking to lose 24lbs in 22 weeks. That'll put me at a healthy BMI for my 22nd birthday, which is a nice thought! I'm not wanting to go crazy and lose it fast - I lost 31lbs between August and December without feeling like I was strictly 'on a diet', and that worked for me. I then took December off, which didn't :P So, I'm up a few pounds and looking to do it slowly and sensibly again.0

I'm 28 years old, 5'3", started around 198 and I'm at 189 now, aiming for somewhere between 120 and 135. I'm not really sure exactly what my goal is as I haven't been that low in my adult life. The military body fat calculator says I'm around 45% body fat right now, yikes! I think I'm aiming for around 22% body fat.0

I have had success I could have never imagined! At 5'4" I have 10 more to lose before reaching the 100lb loss and 35-40lbs to reach my gw? Not sure I honestly NEVER thought I would look like I do at 90lb loss so we shall see. This site does work! I eat 1500 cals a day and work out 30 min minimun 5x's a week.Sweat+better eating habits=success Good luck doll!!0

What a great thread! I am a 5'3", 41 year old, currently 220ish and starting my journey on Jan 7, 2013. Thank you to all of you who have, through your example, shown that it can be done!!0

I'm also 5'4'' and new to the whole losing weight thing. Feel free to add me0

I'm 34 years old and 5'3.5" tall. I am still a work in progress, but I have lost nearly 60 pounds. This time (I've been on this weight roller coaster for awhile), I started at 220. Here is a before picture, although I had already lost about 10 pounds in this picture. (The most I've ever weighed is around 260.)
Today, I weigh 162.5. I log everything I eat, and exercise 4 to 5 times a week. After dealing with this my entire life, I know this is the only way for me to lose weight and keep it off. I have to accept that I am always going to have to log everything, make good choices and move!
Here is a photo from last week. Not the best, but I am not very good at the self-portrait.
If this doesn't work, I apologize and I will fix it, eventually. LOL.0 -
I have the same goal! My SW is just a few lbs more. (:0

Hey 31 years old, 5'3/5'4-ish and started at about 165 (before MFP). I'm at about 140 now, give or take a few pounds, trying to get to about 130 I think! Add me if ya want, always looking for pals!0
