I'm a bridesmaid in four weddings this year.

Bridal Fair number one of one million is about to go down. This MIGHT be my version of hell.

Also: how do I track all of the champagne I'm likely to drink to cope? How about the wedding cake samples for when I eat my feelings?

Drink your champagne out of a measuring cup, bring a digital kitchen scale to the table.

Use those days as cheat days, it is good to have them once in a while. You are on a new health path which should be a lifetime change and not a temporary fix, therefore do not deprive yourself of the things you like if you want to be successful in that journey. Best of luck, you can do it.
  • Just out of curiousity, why were you asked to be a bridesmaid? Isn't all the attention supposed to be on the bride?

Oh and logging is really the key because it makes you aware of how much you had. It is amazing how fast it adds up. Carrying a scale is a smart thing to do and as for the drinking, if I am out I always have a glass with me which is 4 oz, makes it easy to keep track and I don't care what people think. Actually you will probably get praise on your determination. Those who try to take you down are not your friends, trust me.........

record the best you can and then work your butt off. some may think it a crazy thought, but working out to eat more may just be your system those days

Thanks guys! I mostly think I'm going to explode with all of the ridiculous conversations I'm about to have. I'm pretty sure I'll lose my appetite once I get there, so it'll all be fine! Haha.
