Why aren't YOU watching biggest loser?!

I'm watching, what's with all the hating on Jillan Michaels? I LOVE HER!!!0

Because I'm watching new reality show, "Dancing with the Biggest Loser for an Extreme Makeover to be the Next American Idol." You can catch it on the Narcissistic Network.
Snort. You win. /thread :laugh:0 -
I am watching as it inspires me. I picked out the woman is is closest to my weight, so I can see the progress. It is hard for me to see myself as I am, and this will help to inspire me. Just joined today0

Here's some "motivation" for you -- a "Where Are They Now?" article. I see they all learned something from being on the show.

Sorry, got better things to do... like watching reruns of "Pawn Stars."0 -
Because I hate to see well-intentioned people who truly need to make life-changing decisions exploited for the corporate profit of TV networks. Really--if you falter for one week in the midst of your lifestyle change, you have to go home and get LESS support? It's a perverse incentive, like "No Child Left Behind" with rice cakes instead of scantrons. You don't perform well, let's take away the resources that could potentially help you improve. . . . Exploitation, I tell you!0

Because I'm working until midnight. ):0

I know that it is everything negative that you all have said. But it is motivation to me, if nothing else than to see how bad I could become. I know that I am obese, morbidly obese with diabetes 2. I do get hints on how to eat healthy, how to be an advocate for myself when I eat out. I also love to see the before and after pictures. I just have to pretend that it is over 2 years instead of 6 months or whatever the show is. These people have an advantage that they don't have a job and life they have to take care of.0

It is easier to lose 15-20 lbs in a week when all you do is eat properly and exercise on the ranch, obviously it takes longer at home with the real world happening. I was always the person eating chips while watching this year will be different. Jillian would motivate me, she gets more out of her group.0

I am! I can multitask! :bigsmile:0

It IS a pathetic show. There is no emotional thing about losing weight and they glorify that WAY to much! You just hafta get off your *kitten* and do it.0
-
forgot it was on. oops.0
-
I don't like the competition nastiness.0

Read Kai Hibbard's story. That's why. What you see on TV and what really goes on there are two very different things.

I'm gonna watch it tonight but I hope it's not boring with the kids
BL is purely shameless entertainment and nothing more.0 -
Because it's not on here yet.0
-
I don't like listening to Julian Micheals yell, she annoys me. I am surprised they haven't killed anyone yet, the way they push these extremely overweight people to their limits....someones heart is gonna give out.
DITTO!!!0 -
'Cause we don't all live in the United States.0

1.) I don't have live television
2.) I'm not much into reality shows
3.) Busy chaining Heros on Netflix like there is no tomorrow!0 -
I was watching x files on Netflix instant play!0
-
Because NCIS is on, obviously.0
-
Because to be realistic,
I don't have 5 hours in my day to devote to exercising...
I also do not have complete access to healthy and some organic foods...
And I don't have a "free" personal trainer at my disposal0 -
Weight loss shows make me want to eat.
They use unhealthy tricks to lose weight and it's unrealistic. It's a game to win money, not a show about losing weight and getting healthier.
My television is in another state.0 -
Because I'm jealous they have help and I don't.0
-
It's not realistic. People can't go to a "camp" to have it all there for you....food, trainers, equipment, etc. Most have put it back on & then some. Personally, I can't work out that intensely....it'll kill me.....well, if Jillian doesn't get to me first! LOL0
-
It's not on cable - it's on NBC. Yes, I'm watching it. I'm probably a little sadistic. lol! :mad:0
-
Because it doesn't start until 9.0
-
Republic of Doyle is much better.

I am...love Julian, Bob and Dovett. The show motivates me to keep moving, to keep sticking to it.
Me too! I have always done better while that show is airing!0 -
I am watching it, for some reason I like watching it, though usually I end up eating while watching it though not this time already ate way to much today. At first I like it cause I compare weights with people and then I'm like wow I'm not that bad compared to then. Though this time, one of the girls only weighed 9 lbs more then me , but then as the lose weight I'm like crap now i am fat.0
-
Because the majority of contestants gain the majority of weight back, and I've read stories about what it's really like on the BL ranch...plus I get tired of all the ridiculous product pushing. Besides, I can make myself proud and go do something to better myself instead of watch other people do it.0
