Hmmm, maybe I need to post pics of my sexy bald head. Though the wife may not approve of PMs from creamy knickered lovelies. Especially since she's part of this site.

If you're reading this, dear, I love you!

Dude don't worry. It's a myth. I really don't get pervy PMs from creamy pantied ladies.

You get my hopes up, and then dash them against the rocks. You're a cruel, cruel man.

Dude, you blew it. I only posted that so your wife wouldn't get all jealous and stuff. Now you have to explain the PMs in your inbox!

well if my father is any indication as to how my hairline will be when I'm older....I'm in good shape. The man is 70 and still has a full head of hair. Me being 43, I haven't had anything recede yet. (the wifey has me to mow the lawn on the lower 40 but, that's a personal thing..haha)
Actually if you want to see if you're going to lose your hair, you need to look at your MOTHER. The main gene that controls hair loss is on the "X" 23rd chromosome, and since men are "XY" ("Y" indicating a male) your father has NO influence on your hair pattern.

Starting to go bald is a great thing for me. I have always hated hair and have cut it short all of my life.

    Win-win situation for me.

Bald and loving it. I hated how I looked with thinning and gray hair...felt so good to shave my head and now it has the double effect of scaring the crap out of all the little teenage boys buzzing around my daughter..."Your dad looks like a bad *kitten* biker dude"

I gotta think baldness is a bit more complicated than a single gene on a single chromosome. I have two brothers. One lost every hair on his head at 19 years. I had a very gradual loss, starting at about 25 years, and I was not bald until after 30 years. My second brother has never lost a single hair, and he is in his mid-40s.
Also, I am pretty sure the testosterone/baldness connection has been noted in research, but it is really not very pronounced or definitive. Sorry.
And, I have heard a hair/cosmetic dermatology researcher say that as many as 25 percent of women have some kind of a baldness issue -- thinning, receding hairline, bald spot, etc. I do not know if it is true or not. Seems a bit exaggerated to me.

I started shaving as soon as I saw my hair was thinning. I think I look better without hair than with it.
