what does "BUMP" stand for?? i keep reading it in posts and i just dont get it lol i feel so outdated and old haha

    I think it's when people want to save a post so they can look at it again later, because if they comment, even with "bump", it shows up in their profile as "recently commented" and they can reference it again

    People want the thread to be read so post "bump" to get it bumped up the board which is ordered by time of latest post

    It is just something to say to bring the thread back up to the top. They have nothing specific to say but want the thread to be at the top because it is a good one. They could say, "I have nothing to say but by adding to the thread, I keep it alive". Instead, they just say, "Bump".

    its so when you go into my topics its in the list so you can refer back to it at a later date or time.

    I reply bump when I have nothing of importance to say but I want to be able to look back at the post at a later time, since it logs it under your profile. For example: for recipes.
