Because you don't eat raw fruits and vegetables.

    Yeah, because that makes sense....

It does.....the more you eat them the more your bady gets back in tune with itself and the less uncomfortable you will feel.

Keep eating them, but gradually add them into your diet instead of all at once. I take Beano and it helps a LOT but it is a bit expensive. I searched online and found a cheaper version of the same stuff at GNC, but I haven't tried it yet.
Eventually your body gets used to the extra fiber. Don't give up! Veggie are good for you!

    Then why not cook them?

I almost always do, but it'd be nice not to have to do that every time.

OIC, have you tried Beano or taking a daily probiotic?

I took a lot of gas-x yesterday that didn't seem to help

Totally different med. You have to take Beano with your first bite of food, but it does work pretty well for some foods (at least for me).

I never really had any digestion issues but started taking a daily probiotic to get my daughter off my back and I've noticed much less gas from eating vegetables since I did.
  • I'm gonna fart all over you guys. Haha. I get it, I get it. I will keep eating them until my body adjusts. Blah!
  • ith being alergic that could have something to do with it. And having a sensitive stomach doesn't help. Just keep at it or talk to your Doc about it and see if there is something you can take.
  • it is possible you have a condition called Fructose Malabsorption, not to be confused with Fructose Intolerance.

it is grouped into the IBS catagory, It means that your can not process the fructose or fructans and possibly other sugars in food. Most people with this can not process the sugars in fruits the most potant tend to be apples, watermelon to name a few.

If you think you may have it, you can see a GI specialist, they can do a hydrogen breath test to confirm

I can also reccomend some books that talk about foodmap diet and how to do a elimination diet to get an idea of what food effect you

Not saying thats what it is, but letting you know it could be possible. . you could just be super gassy :):) but somthing to consider if you power through and it does not get better. it could just be an adjustment phase

It makes perfect sense, actually. If you're gut isn't used to dealing with that much fiber and suddenly it's stuffed you're going to get gassy. Always increase fiber slowly and be consistent.

It took a while but I found a number that worked for me. Over 25 and I'm uncomfortable and feel bloated. Under 15 and I get ....other issues.

As far as reading the whole thread, maybe they didn't want to risk staying around long enough to do that because of the gas....

Every time I eat raw fruit and raw veggies, I feel HORRIBLE. I get extremely gassy and bloated. Any thoughts as to why this happens?

If you simply direct yourself to remaining strictly within the anti-flatulence vegetables and fruits eating plan [ideally in the form of a smoothie for easier digestion], you'll be en route to a more comfortable you.

It is also important that you not rush through your eating - eat slowly and chew each morsel of raw fruit/vegetable [with an increased volume of hydration to help "maintain" your body throughout your day] and to prevent your small intestines from having to overwork themselves, creating enough of a toxic situation.
