I'm with you Kristin. My goal will also be to record my food this weekend, including the upcoming party. Maybe if I have to record it, I'll be more conscious about what I put in my mouth.

Cathy -- you are so right ... everytime you (we) give up ... we end up having more lbs to shed off... so better to push through and work hard.... and focus on what we have to lose then adding more ....
Kristin-- hoping your biopsies heal quickly too .... Weekends are always tough for me too... but i find if i make a plan and STICK TO IT NO MATTER WHAT .... then it goes a lot better ! WE CAN DO THIS !
B- I admire you and you ARE NOT FAT ... we all have slip-ups..... i am very glad you ended things with Alex... you learnt alot from him... and after your ex... im sure he was a fabulous person to be with .. but just not the person for you .. and you knew that ... i think its very good to stay single for a while.. because in all honesty if we dont know who we are .... and love ourselves...how can we expect someone else to know us .... and love us ..... GOOD FOR YOU ! IM SO PROUD OF YOU !.... KEEP UP this positive attitutude... and you have a DEAL ! whenever we feel like we are going to slip-up ... message each other and put all our frustrations on paper haha ! ... txt messaging doesnt work from the bahamas... but add me on facebook Amy Key Sands..... Ladies thankyou for being on here and posting like you do, I gain strength from reading your posts.
We all learn from our pasts and just hope we make better choices in the future. There is a reason for everything that happens in our life so dont have regrets just learn and improve everyday.
As for me I am putting down the fork from lunch and going to not have the 3rd helping of my Tuna Tettrazini instead going to pick up the living room and do my work out.
I will post tomorrow my weekly weight in and hope the scale is nice, because I have had good days and bad days but it is still better than a week ago.

1st : BUMP!
2nd: I just ate an entire pre made salad mix thing that is made for a whole family... <-mixed emotions.. I didnt have time for breakfast.. so i was really hungry.. and I am glad it was a salad rather than something I would REALLY regret.. But a whole family serving!?!? And it was ICE BERG lettuce, not even mixed greens.. sigh.. I am happy I am back on track with being a vegetarian, but very sad that I just ate a family serving in one sitting..
3rd Amy and Rhiannon : I am glad I have come to the realization that singledom is what I need, but I have to keep reminding myself that. I have been crying off and on since last night, and it really does hurt. But I am back on track, and I am going to stay that way! AND THAT, is what really matters.

Okay...so I just passed on the yummy looking chocolate something-or-rather bars in the lunchroom! Yay me!
Now...to get through the next few hours...today is taking FOREVER for some reason! Then, off on a lovely walk with Kadence! Can't wait! And I'm thinking that I'm going to do chicken kabobs for dinner on the grill! I have chicken and can do sliced chunks of red potatos and mushrooms and some fresh asparagus on the grill! YUMMY! SO looking forward to it!
B...you can do it girlie! You'll get back on track! And it's salad, so no worries...as long as you didn't load up on dressing, because I know that can add a bazillion calories. You will find your groove...that's what I'm trying to do. We can do it together!

Kristin - I have been doing the Walk Away the pounds DVD do 2 miles each day, this is getting me back in the routine of working out with out going overboard. The first of may I want to start the Slim in 6 DVDs however I dont plan on moving up every two weeks I am going for the moving up once a month instead that way I dont kill myself and get burnt out.

Tracy-that sounds like a good plan! I also have the slim in six DVD program. Haven't done it since I was first out of highschool (almost 10 years ago) so maybe something I should get back into also! Right now I've been walking outside and am trying to get in some 15-20 minute video workouts. I also have a treadmill and an elliptical in the basement, and my husband just inherited a weight bench and weights. So, we are definitely set for me to acheive my goals...I just need to get the motivation! And we need to clean out our spare room in the basement, plus paint it and lay carpet, so we can set up the weight bench. We have no where to put it right now. But we're hoping to turn that into a small workout room. Should be nice!
Well...I have some things to finish up at my desk, then off to pick up Kadence! It's BEAUTIFUL outside, so I can't wait to walk and grill!! YAY! Have a great evening all!0 -
No time to really do personals, I got to get my sweat self in the shower before class. So just wanted to say I made myself proud today, I went to the gym for an hour and a half, WORKED MY BUTT OFF, and burned 1025 calories. And then got home and decided I wanted more exorcise (exorcise keeps my mind off my heartache) so I walked the dog up to the end of my road and back (5 miles) and burned an additional 615 calories!
So I am proud, Exorcise is going to be my version of Ice Cream in the Rom Coms. Hope everyone is having a good day!

bumping for tomorrow. Been reading the posts but was awol over the weekend. Trying to everything done for my trip. I leave Saturday so I will try to post Sat morning. I will off for the next week.
B- Being single doesn't mean you are alone. Just by reading your posts you have friends here and a good family support system. I read in an article the other day that when dating we have to decide what we absolutely will not accept. Like if someone smokes and that is a deal breaker for you. I have been single a long time and have learned a great deal about myself. You will to. Be great to yourself.

Tracy - Everyday for us is a challenge. If it wasn't, then we wouldn't need MFP. So hopefully you will have a very successful weigh-in this week. If this week is better than last food and healthwise, then you are already in the win column.
Hi B - Great job on kickin' it at the gym. Sorry for the emotional stresses. They can wreak havoc on a body mentally and physically, and definitely throw off a diet. But eating a bag of lettuce has very "moving" benefits, and better than a bag of cookies. So you are doing great, beautiful girl! Keep it up.
Kristin - All I can say is ADORABLE. Kadence looks so cute. Love that pic. Good job on passing on the "junk" food. Hope you got in a nice, relaxing walk
Sandy - Have a fantastic time on your cruise. The cool thing about the buffets on the cruise is that it is available throughout the whole cruise, so you can simply enjoy and taste everything in small amounts and know you'll get it again The drinks on the other hand....:drinker: Enjoy!0 -

Today is my fourth wedding anniversary. Not planning on blowing it, but definitely relieving a little of the restriction. Of course, right before my weigh in. Oh well, I can live with it. Just mean next weeks weigh-in will be great! Woke up this morning with a belly ache though and really swollen. Can't figure out what that is about. So already 8 cups of water down in the past two hours (wee wee wee all the way home) and planning on some high intense sweating exercise to help out.
My pre-teen daughter is going through her "chubby baby fat" stage and she is becoming conscious of it. So as a family, we each have our own calendar and are responsible for getting in 30 minutes of exercise everyday and substituting fresh foods for packaged ones. Weekly rewards for all. We are excited! I love having a healthy family.
Have a great day ladies. I'll be lurking but won't be able to post again probably for a day or two. But looking forward to all the "losers", "maintainers", and "stick-to-it" posts.

man yesterday i weighed in at 239. i guess i shouldn't have had teriyaki chicken last night. just goes to show that our bodies do their own thing day to day. i'll take every little bit in the right direction.

Im actually not upset about todays weigh in... after the week i had last week... emotionally and nutritionally and physically etc... lol... and Tom arriving sometime this week.... its a wonder im not more then that! so ill TAKE IT ! plus yesterday was day one of eating really healthy and working out!!! so it wont show until next week and im going to be BRAVE and not weigh in until next tuesday AT ALL ! im putting the scale away lol until then !
I am doing the OLD weight watchers where you have a point range and you bank your points that you dont eat..... so i can have 28-33 points daily..... one day at a time and my new FIRM WAVE arrives wednesday or thursday ! woohooo excited to start that !

I am very happy with todays weight in, I know this week will be bigger than the other weeks since it is week 1 for me starting this, however I even suprised myself since I was not great the whole week. It makes me want to be even better this week so I can see what I can really do. I am proud of myself for making some small little decisions throughout the week. But I know I need to drink more water.
Sandy- where are you going on your trip?

Well...yesterday was a good day. I was disappointed that I actually ended up over my calories by 11...not much, but I was still over. I did get in a wonderful walk that burned 258 calories. Ate chicken kabobs with mushrooms and red potatos and some grilled asparagus for dinner. Had peanuts for a snack before dinner and graham crackers with cool whip after dinner. So...no unplanned snacking! Hoping tonight is the same! Planning to get another walk in as it is beautiful outside once again! Here's the meal plan...
B-1 1/2 c. Whole grain Total cereal with 1 c. milk (I was STARVING), 2 c. coffee, 4 tbsp. sugar free creamer
S-trail mix bar, banana
L-2 sl. pumpernickel rye bread with homemade tuna salad, baby carrots, light yogurt
S-apple
D-lightly breaded pork chop, brown rice, green beans
S-grapes
I really don't want to stray from this at all...WILL POWER!!!!!

next weeks goal to get back on the treadmill. knowing i don't have to kill myself on it. and not weigh myself.

Well, it's not my week's lowest weigh-in but like I said yesterday I was holding 3 lbs of water (from a weight that had been consistent for 3 days) so hopefully some of that water is still working its way out of my system. But 2.8 lbs down puts me on a great track for the challenge!

So quick ABOUT ME; lol. I am feeling a little better today, It is day 3 since heartache, and I can tell that my spirit has lifted a little. Not much, but its there! The relationships self help book is helping, seeing my friends is helping, and being busy is certainly helping. I am SO SORE today!!! MY whole body aches!!! (But mostly my arms and back). I have class @ 1:30 , and work from 4-7, but after that I am going to the gym. I dont know if I am going to do the other routine my trainer gave me, or If I am just going to an hour or so on various cardio machines.. Haven't really decided yet. I also haven't decided If I am going to stay home tonight or not. I am thinking that I should. I went to my friend Kenna's the last two days so she could prevent me from wallowing and/or calling Alex. The book says though that day 5 I should do INTENSE spring cleaning, that having spotless environments around me will lift my mood, and if I can re-arrange any furniture it will help ease me into the changes. So I am going to do it! Have any of you seen "Because I said So"? I feel like that advise is something directly from the mouths of the two main characters. Well I guess that is the end of my update! I think I am going to cook some Tofu today, It feels like a good Baked Tofu day.. :flowerforyou:

Well I guess all my time off finally caught up with me.:sad: :sad: So today I am commiting to working out and posting my food. I amost feel like I am starting from the start again. I have no one to blame but myself.:grumble:0 -

MEal Plan:
B- Activia Yogurt
S- 1 oz cheese
L- 1 baked potato, topped with veggies, 3 oz pork meat, spinach salad with 1 tbsp dressing
S- Apple
D- Tri color veggie noodles, tossed with chicken, olive oil, tons of veggies, and 1 tbsp shredded
cheese
S- cup of hot tea/ 1/2 cup 2% milk0 -
Okay...so I have decided that I NEED to get in some strength training, and since we don't yet have room to set up our newly acquired weight bench, I need to make sure to be doing the 15 minute videos I have at home. I mean, it's only 15 minutes so I can for sure find time to sqeeze at least one in a day. And there's a 40 minute one if I ever have a larger stretch of time. So, the exercise plan that I will try to follow is:
M-40 minute walk outside or 30 minute treadmill run, 15 minute Ab workout
T-40 minute walk outside or 30 minute treadmill run, 15 minute lower body
W-40 minute walk outside or 30 minute treadmill run, 15 minute Ab workout
Th-40 minute walk outside or 30 minute treadmill run, 15 minute upper body
F-40 minute walk outside or 30 minute treadmill run, 15 minute Ab workout
S-40 minute walk outside or hiking or 30 minute treadmill run, 15 minute lower body
S-40 minute walk outside or hiking or 30 minute treadmill run, 15 minute upper body
So, this way I get in some cardio every day, Abs 3 times a week, and upper and lower body both twice a week. I'd eventually like to add in more, but for now I think this is a good plan to start. And if I ever miss a day cardio-wise, I want to make sure to at least get in my 15 minute video which should ALWAYS be do-able! So, that's the plan!0 -
