What Is Everyone's Favourite Form Of Exersise?

I personally tend to find it very boring to walk on a treadmill or take an exersise class. I was wondering what fun things people do to keep fit?! I like to go to the beach and swim with friends because it doesn't feel like such a boring chore. Thoughts on this?

Well I have always loved the bodybuilding style so I typically do resistance training but will include power and stability exercises from time to time for sports performance and core strength purposes. It's each to their own I suppose. Which is the beauty of being a personal trainer, I get to work with clients with different goals and different types of workouts that they enjoy.

    Boxing. Zumba. Running and Sex.

I do a lot of the first two. The second one when the snow melts and/ or the temps are >0C... and the third... well lets just say I burn all my calories from the first three these days. LMAO

Hiking. I live in an area full of mountains, rivers, water falls, lakes, bluffs, shore line. It's cold and wet and muddy this time of year, but I still love it. (I don't love washing off my 100 pound yellow lab, after, but it burns an extra 100 calories)

I absolutely LOVE riding my bike with my husband...it's just a matter of getting him to go along! :)

I also love working with my horse (about 90 miles away from me) when I'm able (we discovered that she's trained to trot when you jog while leading her! )

Because I am a glutton for total body punishment, I love to hate doing Insanity.....I enjoy mixing in some days of lifting/strength exercises, and I fill the gaps with some runs on the elliptical trainer..........oh yeah, like our friend above, sex is always a fun calorie burner as well.

I love love taking classes at my exercise studio. I know all of the ladies there, and they know me. I like going for social time, plus work out, plus the friendly (silent) competition with the women around me- ie, I see someone doing more reps, so I try to match them. I do boot camp, Zumba, Barre, plus several other strength and cardio classes. I've never been a gym rat before I joined this place!

Running. Zoning out on the treadmill with my music in my ears and all of a sudden a whole hour is gone :)

    TRX and hiking.
  • Try an indoor rowing machine !
It's easy to do, uses mainly your legs when you have the form down right, and burns quite a few calories. It's a great workout for legs, abs, lower back, and arms.

My true love is lifting weights. But playing squash, ultimate frisbee, basketball, and doing intervals are (to me) super fun, and great at burning calories ;)

Playing tennis! That's my absolute favorite because I'm feisty and competitive lol!
    Volleyball, especially beach volleyball!
    Anything that involves dancing!
Walking and jogging around the park, around my neighborhood, and especially on the beach!
  • I like a diversity of activities, including the time in the gym with the weights, but bicycling feels the most fun.

  • One type of exercise that I enjoy is house-cleaning when no one else is home. I find it relaxing and non-strenuous. Gardening is also another form of mild exercise I find enjoyable (early in the morning or later in the evening though... not midday!)!!

I love weights but my absolute favourite is going to trance parties here in Cape Town and dancing to incredible music for hours and hours on end.

I do the exercise in the gym for health, but I have grown to love outdoor physical activity with family and friends: riding my bicycle and swimming in the summer; snow shoeing and hiking. So pleased that my exercise in the gym and weight loss have created the framework for me to have a more active lifestyle.

I love dancing (mostly ballet, but any type is great), ice skating (figure skating), swimming (awesome pool near from where my parents live - great activity for weekends), hiking (once in a while), long walks (all the time).
