I see some posters on here talking about losing weight with MFP....what is that? A new exercise program?

That's an excellent question. What, exactly, IS mfp?
A place to find support for your weight-loss quest?
A place to find inspiration from others' success?
A way to spend incredible amounts of time doing something other than what you should be doing?
    What is this site, anyway?

LOL I do stuff like this all the time. The other day I started pressing the "open" button on my car remote to open my apartment door!

You don't know if you don't ask. Just to fill you in on some other lingo you might not be familiar with. Bump is used as a bookmark of sorts to mark a thread to follow and is like saying you like it. NSV=non-scale victories. Have you been successful in getting healthier in ways other than it showing on the scale. Welcome to MFP and good luck!

Thanks for bearing with me, you guys. I feel like a total tool. But I can laugh at myself, too! Thanks for the support and helpful info to those who offered it in their reply and didn't just laugh at me; appreciate it!

Lol! I kept seeing MFP when I first started checking out the message boards and had no clue what it was, so I did a bing search "What is mfp on my fitness pal" and it took me too this message board ha ha

This is what I was expecting...the deeper meaning of mfp. Worth asking too, no?
