I've been looking at my food diary and my breakfasts aren't as healthy as they could be.I usually have cereal but I know alot of them have a fair bit of sugar in them etc.I only work three hours a day but I usually eat two hours before going into work so I'm fairly hungry by the end of it.Could someone recommend some new ideas please? I did think of beans on toast with mushrooms but not to sure?

Egg whites and toast. I sometimes make a breakfast sandwich with a slice of cheese and tomato with this. Yogurt. Protein Smoothies is good too.0

Try steel oats with raisins and cinnamon. They take around 15 minutes to cook, but you can leave them simmering away with the timer set and return to a grrreat breakfast.0

I've been on an oatmeal kick lately- Its about 280 cals the way i eat it
oats- whatever variety you prefer
craisins
1tsp. brown sugar
cinnamon
vanilla
1/2 T. butter
Pair it with a protein, like cottage cheese, hard boiled egg, or lean breakfast meat, and it keeps me full for quite a while .0 -
overnight oats are yummy and great! 1/2 cup of oats 1/4 cup water few spoons unsweetened greek yogurt and fruit of your choice, cinnamon stira ll up and pop in fridge overnight. So yummy and all ready the next morning!0

I have stopped having the boxed cereals that I have eaten for 40 years!
I now measure out 100g of oats, throw in 10g of mixed seeds, half cup of boiling water, mix. Stick in microwave for 1 minute, add half cup semi skimmed milk.
Leave for 1 minute to cool and thicken. It is SO GOOD. I am not joking when I tell you that this breakfast keeps me feeling full for 2-3 hours compared to the one hour that things like corn flakes and weetos did. This oat cereal is just so wholesome.
I have a cup of tea with it and a glass of hot water. You could add berries or raisins but I worry about adding too many bits to so-called low cal items because you can top them up to the point where they have just as many cals as a regular choice.0 -
Cereals do not fill you up, are full of salt and sugar, and little else in the way of nutrition.
Something On toast is good - make your bread a good quality one, I like the burgen seeds one. Scrambled egg, or poached, peanut butter, swooshed avocado, cottage cheese, slice of ham, melted cheese...
Yoghurt - Greek yoghurt is the best -with berries, nuts, seeds, is another suggestion.
Proteins will fill you up for longer, so aim for that0 -
This was my normal breakfast before things in my life prevented me from buying the produce for it.
Overnight Oats in a Jar
1/4c Quick Oats
1/4 of a Medium Banana Sliced
1/2c blueberries
1/2c Unsweetened Almond Milk
1/2teaspoon Chia Seeds (i normaly used a full teaspoon)
4-5 drops of clear Stevia
Place all ingrediants in a Pint Jar, shake, cover and put in fridge over night. If you want add your favorite crunchy topping such as nuts or granola right before eating it.

I'm not a big fan of oatmeal, but I have found instant oatmeal sachets that I love. It's alpen brand here in the uk, and there's al different varieties around 160cals. I also a big fan of the 2 egg omelet.0
