Is there a way to get over the plateau?

I'm new to weight loss in general and have done very well until the last month and haven't really lost anything. My calorie consumption stayed the same and so did excercise. I keep hearing the word plateau but dont know much about how to get past one. Any ideas?

I don't really plateau but I do fluctuate a lot. When you do plateau it is your body getting used to the decreased calories and building muscle if you are lifting weights. It is a trend you are looking at more than a steady weightloss.0

Mostly it is just a matter of patience, waiting for your body to catch up with your habits. If you are particularly frustrated, you can try a new form of exercise. If you already have a mix of cardio and strength, do something new for both. Otherwise, add in the one you haven't been using.0

Adjust your macros (more protein, less carbs/fat) and add in a new exercise (if you're a runner, start lifting and vice versa). If there's still no change after a month or so, eat less/move more.0
