Is everyone rating the persona elements higher because they believe it? Or because it's "politically correct" to do so?

In my case:
Intellect=10 *I'm smart. If he's not smart it will annoy me within minutes and kill the attraction.
Sense of Humor=10 * A guy without a sense of humor will hate me within minutes.
Attitude=10 *Attitude is what keeps me going. He has to be able to keep up.

I'm surprised you ask this because I dont see anyone on your friends list that is PC for the sake of being PC.

ETA: Oops...just realized this thread was about rating what you find attractive in others, not on your own attractiveness level. Oh, well...but I still feel that attraction is more based on how much you like and enjoy the other person, what interests you share, how good that person makes you feel when you're with them, etc., so I'm not going to delete my post even though I realize it might not totally fit in the discussion. I just think appearance is over-rated. My husband is a solid 10 to me, even after 30 years together, so I just think this is all a silly discussion. Again, I'm just an old crone.

Maybe it's because I'm a crotchety, old crone but I don't get the point of this or understand why it would be motivating. I'm 55. Even if I get to my goal weight and achieve the fitness goals I'm working toward, I'll never be a 10 when rating simply on appearance. For example, due to the weight I carried and my c-sections, I have wrinkly loose skin on my belly that will probably never be flat without surgery (which I'm not inclined to bother with). But my abs are now fairly strong and getting stronger and I have some great kids to show for it so....well, who cares?. I'm never going to look great in a bikini again but I'm cool with that and my husband thought I was a 10 even at my heaviest and weakest so, again, who cares?

But I'm already fitter and stronger than probably 80-85% of the women I know in my age group because most of them either do nothing or just walk*. In the last 18 months, I have gone from only being able to ride my bike for 5 miles before my knees ached to doing century rides. To not being able to run more than about 20 feet without feeling like I was going to die to medaling in 5k's (OK, small field and age group medal but still felt good!). From only being able to carry a light fanny-pack on my back when doing trail hikes, thus no over-nighters, to being able to carry a 40+ pound pack (working on getting to even heavier as I'm planning on some mountaineering) up/down steep trails for many more miles before I start feeling it and getting fatigued. How many 55 year old women do you know that are working toward summitting mountains? How many plan to take up rock-climbing when physically ready for it? And hang-gliding? I bet not many. I think that alone makes me a 10 (or darn near close to it!).

Sorry but this thread feels like body-shaming to me. I may not ever be a 10 on any of my body parts. But I'm going to be slender, fit, strong, and have energy and vitality that few women in my age group have. I'm already a good part of the way there and progressing every day. My abs, butt, legs and such are never going to be a 10 in the appearance department but that doesn't mean that I'm not doing to be a 10 in my functional fitness and achievements. I'm already a solid 7 on that, imho, and will definitely be a 10 someday (once I'm standing on the top of Mt. Rainier, LOL).

I don't want to be judged on a body part. I want to be judged on what I can do. But that's just me, I guess.

* Just want to say there's nothing wrong with just walking if that is your fitness goal. Just isn't enough for my personal goals.
