I don't think so... aslong as you don't overdo it.. and add things such as butter or high fat milk

No. Vegetables tend to not be evil. I eat potatoes and enjoy them immensely. Also lost 30 pounds and have kept it off for a year while eating them.

Potatoes are great! All kinds! There is also nothing wrong with a little bit of sour cream and butter! Work it into your calories and enjoy!

I eat potato's a couple times a week. I make homemade french fries, super delicious and tons better than that fried fast food crap. If it fits into your calories, great. But make sure to get in the good veggies too

Nope, I eat them once in a while. I like to mash potatoes and turnips together and add a little salt.

Why would potatoes be evil? They're a great source of carbs, and carbs = energy for your workouts. I eat them often.

I think potatoes are ok in moderation, like anything else. I made a good recipe from Skinnytaste.com the other night with garlic, fat free sour cream, low sodium chicken broth and fat free milk . 159 calories per 3/4 cup, 1.7 g fat, 32.3 carbs and 3.2 fiber, 4.5 protein.

Not at all, in fact jacket (baked) potatoes were an absolute godsend when I was onsite for work. I could have a small one with some baked beans and it fitted in with my macros well - less calories than most sandwiches too.

No! Potatoes are just fine in moderation. I make Avacado Mashed potatoes. The avacado is so creamy, which makes it a great substitute for the butter. Add some salt and pepper, garlic, and a little milk and its actually pretty good. Although the green color is kinda funky! Its a good kind of fat, and moderately good for you.

Are they the most nutritious choice, probably not. But evil is probably taking it too far. The better question is, how do you feel when eating them? I know people with blood sugar issues who have problems with them. So if they seem to disagree with you then I'd avoid them. Personally, I wouldn't likely eat bread AND potatoes for the same meal though, to many carbs for me...

Never had any issues with potatoes, and lost weight having a baked potato with filling for dinner every evening at one time.

Potatoes are a good source of potassium, vitamin B6, and have a good amount of vitamin C. There's a reason the Potato Famine in Ireland caused so many people to die.
