Hey Everyone,
As the Subject suggests, looking to make some new friends that I can learn from but also help to motivate on their weight loss journey.
21 from Ontario, hopefully I get some replies.

I just started but I know it is better to have someone, such as a gym pardner to "answer" to. An example is we went to the movies today and I ALWAYS get candies (2 boxes) today I thought about MFP and declined to have any. It's because I would be responsible for cheating.0

Neil it really is, that is a struggle of mine.
If I go to Tim Horton's, always tempted to get that *extra* thing on top of a bagel and coffee when I'm on the run, hate it.0 -

Everyone I've met on here has been very supportive! I'm always looking for good friends. To answer your question my favorites are Zumba, walking my puppy and lots of Wii fitness games. I'm looking forward to getting an eliptical machine soon as well.
Feel free to add me if you would like another friend.0 -
thanks everyone for the adds! can't wait to hear from you.
Yes, I love playing a workout game from Kinect, tracks all my progress and is very useful.0 -
Request sent!0

I will also be your friend. Had weight loss surgery 5 weeks ago. Started exercise class yesterday. So far so good0

My favorite thing to do is run! Just strap on the iPod and let go! Anything high energy and keeps me busy so I won't stare at the clock and just give up. Zumba is a blast also.0

Awesome tips everyone.
Now, real question, is it weird if a guy does Zumba? I have heard it is a great workout, nice music and a lot of fun to sweat your butt off while having a good time.
Also, thoughts on starting Yoga for a male.0 -
Feel free to add me as well...I need all the support I can get.
Go for the Zumba! I found that yoga didn't help as much as running, lifting, or the other exercises I like. My advice: stick with Zumba.0 -
Feel free to add me, 16 year old from the UK just trying to gain confidence by losing weight0

Feel free to add me as well (actually, anyone answering here should feel free to add me!). I like the accountability that comes from having friends along my weight loss journey. I'm 32 from MD, and just trying to lose what I gained back over the holidays. Spent a year on another online weight loss program and lost 35 pounds, hoping to find the same support here (and to give it to others as well). Good luck to you!0

I've never tried Zumba, by my cousin is an instructor, and has been encouraging me to try. She says that lots of men do it and love it. It is definitely a better calorie burn than Yoga. I personally love Yoga, and I do it twice a week for an hour each time. I do it at home, and it is great in between days that I do more strenuous workouts and need to stretch those muscles. I recommend if you want to start out at home, try Rodney Yee's videos (I like Yoga Burn and Abs Yoga for Beginners). If you love it, try Bob Harper's Yoga for the Warrior...it's amazing :-)0

Hey man, sent you a friend request, also Canadian, but from the East Coast. Good luck with the weight loss, I plan on losing about the same as you so we can motivate and help each other!0
