    Sounds like a procrastination tactic. How about implementing a good healthy routine right away instead of postponing until after 7 days of malnutrition.

    :drinker: Win!

    Can you juice cake? If not, eff that.

    Protip: instead of baking it, you can chug the batter.

    Wait, people actually bake batter?

    I like the idea of juicing, I am just too lazy.

    Me too....I mean, I want to eat all the good veggies and fruits, but it would be easier to just make them into a drink and chug. But making them into a drink...seems too labor intensive.

    Seriously, juicing makes zero sense to me.

    You get most of the calories while depriving yourself of the fiber and bulk to satiate you, not to mention the pleasure of chewing.

    All joking aside, there are many benefits to a juice fast, including:

    balanced pH and blood sugar levels,

    a cleansed and regulated colon,

    weight loss (fat, not water),

    diminished toxin load,

    strengthened immune system,

    increased mental clarity,

    heavy metals cleansing,

    increased liver function capacity,

    loss of cravings for sugar and other stimulants,

    cellular cleansing and rebuilding,

    radiant, glowing complexion,

    diminished pains and allergies (some disappear completely),

    blood, tissue and organ cleansing,

    restored liver function capacity,

    increased energy levels,

    emotional cleansing and release,

    and an enhanced sense of joy and lightness is usually experienced.

    Can't say I've done a juice fast though or will in the future (maybe).... I juice quite a bit, but never as a 'fast'. If I ever feel a cold coming on, a green juice with garlic zaps it. I have cured hangovers with green juice, and it's THE best energy drink out there. Yum, now someone make me one cause I'm too lazy right now.

    That's a lot of nonsense for a single post.
    On the positive side, it gives me my first opportunity to quote a brilliant and talented member on the subject.

    Cleanse by bathsheba_c

    To cleanse or not to cleanse? That is the question.
    Whether 'tis nobler in the mind to suffer
    The slings and arrows of non-specific toxins
    Or to take arms against a sea of imagined bowel obstructions
    And by opposing, perforate one's colon. To juice; to detox;
    No more; and by a detox to say we end
    The pH and the balance of intestinal flora
    That guts are heir to, 'tis a consummation
    Devoutly to be avoided. To juice; to detox;
    To detox: perchance to puke: aye, there's the rub;
    For in the pangs of indigestion what side-effects may come
    When we go and leave our undies soiled.

    Well, If you've never tried a fresh green juice, you'll never know how good it makes you feel. To each their own. :drinker:

    I once "enjoyed" a tall carrot juice with a young hippie girl back home, but that was mostly about getting laid. Now that I think of it, it really did make me feel better. In that context, I'm all for juicing.

    I did watch it. Nothing more than an hour-long infomercial for a fad diet.
