I'm a cop and I have 3 one on each shoulder and one on the chest. All works in progress that need to get finished. Couple people on my department have full sleeves. They just require that they are'nt of anything offensive or could be interpreted as offensive by the general public.

I've got a cockatiel done in the style of a traditional sailor's swallow tattoo, because I like cockatiels. I've got a ship's wheel to remind me that I'm ultimately in charge of the direction I take my life. Last year I got Laika the dog, and I'm considering turning it into part of a space exploration themed half sleeve if I ever have that kind of money.

Though those of you with angle tattoos have got me thinking that I might like one... I'd go with obtuse for sure. Maybe about 115°.
  • Um, 8? so far... Lightening bolts on the tops of my feet, Big Starry swirly thingo on my ankle, Spiral of Life on my lower back, Roman numerals of wedding date which match my hubbies on my left wrist, Old skool rattle, roses, and crown for my daughter on left shoulder blade, small Skeleton key inside of right arm, Virgo symbol on my right shoulder and 3 tier original cake design on my right arm which will eventually be a half sleeve. Many more to come :D Especially when I have nice thighs and stuff to put them on!

I don't have any tattoos yet. I am debating a butterfly on my lower back to signify change or a rose on my foot to signify blossoming and a new beginning. Or possibly Winnie the Pooh on my calf to signify everlasting youth.

I think you should get Winnie Pooh with butterfly wings, with roses sprouting out of his honey pot.

I have two, both have meaning. One is Jesus on the cross, in a cross outline on my back. It was an original design by the tattoo artist. The picture was taken immediately after it was done, so the shading has faded a bit. The other is a 2-line quote along my right hip, arching from back to front (These scars remind us/that the past is real…). You can kind of see it in my bathing suit pic on my profile, but just to have an idea of where it is positioned. I changed my main profile pic to the cross tattoo, but you can see it better if you go to my profile. I wanted to get the cross one first, but felt it was too big for me to be comfortable with it at the time, so I got the quote, which I had been thinking about for quit some time. Almost exactly a year later, I felt comfortable getting the cross, so I did. I had wanted it for about 3 years total. I can't tell you how many people comment on it.
