I love wings.... seriously. I can take out an embarrassing amount of wings.
If I make them at home, I just use franks/butter/garlic, super easy. I'm the only person in my house that really likes them though so it's rare.0 -
We bake our wings and put a dry rub on them0

I made wings last night. I seasoned the wings with garlic & herb, garlic salt, pepper. I baked them until slightly crisp and then added two tablespoon of parmesan cheese to coat. Screaming good!0

omg! This is me. I wings, if it wasn't for me trying to get healthy I would be still going out for wing nights every week... or twice a week LOL.0

Now, I don't want to get shot for blasphemy here... but if you're craving buffalo wings but don't want to splurge on calories or cash, buffalo cauliflower bites work really well.
I tried this recipe last week and it was pretty tasty: http://www.skinnytaste.com/2013/01/spicy-buffalo-cauliflower-bites.html#more0 -
Yes! We can form Voltron!0

What I do when I'm REALLY craving buffalo but can't have the extra calories... is I fry up some fresh cauliflower and soak em in franks hot sauce. I dip them in low cal bleu cheese dressing. It's significantly less calories, and actually pretty delicious.0

I too am a wings lover and when I found a low fat version I was so excited!! Heres what I do:
Ingredients:
- 1 spray olive oil cooking spray, or enough to coat sheet
- 12 oz uncooked chicken wings
- 1 1/4 oz Old El Paso Taco Seasoning Mix, or similar product
- 1 cup Frank’s Red Hot Sauce
For the dipping sauce:
- 1/2 cup fat-free sour cream
- 2 tbsp blue cheese, or gorgonzola, crumbled
- 2 tbsp fat-free skim milk
- 4 medium stalks celery, cut into 2-inch pieces
Directions:
Preheat oven to 400ºF. Coat a large baking sheet with cooking spray.
Dip wings in Frank’s Red Hot Sauce. Then, place chicken wings in a zip-close plastic bag, add taco seasoning, seal bag and shake to coat. Transfer wings to prepared baking sheet and bake until cooked through, about 18 to 20 minutes.
Meanwhile, to prepare dip, whisk together sour cream, cheese and milk.
Serve wings with dip and celery on the side. Recipe makes 4 servings.
Hope you enjoy!!0 -

I am a wing addict. I don't think I can fit them into my new healthy eating lifestyle, at least not now. I have a serious weakness for wings and can't imagine having to restrict myself to 1 or 2 wings. I would rather go without.
This is how I feel. I was shocked to learn wings you get at a restaurant are around 100 calories a piece. I could easily eat 8-10 of them.
So I go without except on my cheat days.0 -
Well the good ole way to make wing sauce is Frank's or Texas Pete's mixed with a little melted butter. You can add some garlic powder if you like that too. Then just toss in freshly fried wings.
My calorie saver method is to grill or broil the wings toss them in the sauce minus the butter and then grill or broil them again to get them crispy.
I also make my own blue cheese with low fat sour cream and blue cheese chunks.
Damn it.... now im hungry.0 -
Not sure if this has been posted, but The Gracious Pantry blog has a great recipe for wings.

I just go get Buffalo Wild Wings, so much easier than making them at home!
ummmm, Buffalo Wild Wings sucks!!!!!!!!!!!0 -
I LOVE wings!! But lately I have been buying skinless boneless chicken thighs to make them. I season the thighs with salt and pepper. Then I pan fry them until they have a crispy outside. I cut them into wing size pieces, place them on a baking pan and put them in the oven at 400 to finish cooking them and get even more crispy. When they are done to my liking I take them out and douse them with Franks wing sauce. DELISH!!0

Sounds great, do you have the calorie count on it?0

8-10.......... I can easily eat three dozen. No, I'm not kidding. lol. My two favorite words... "Wing Night"... and I was raised where the original Quaker Steak and Lube is! Wings are in my blood.0 -
I know this is a little different than wings, but when I'm trying to save on calories, I've been known to gril a chicken breast then just dip it in in franks...it's deliscious!!0

It's not the real thing but definitely an acceptable sub. Well I think so anyway....

Completely agree, I have been to dive bars that have wing night specials that have better wings than BW3's..
As for when I want wings, I do a boneless type recipe, cut up about 3 boneless, skinless chicken breasts.. marinade them in sweet baby ray's buffalo wing sauce, bake em, all while covering them with sauce every 15 minutes, then broil at the end, take out and eat.. They are good without the breading normally on boneless and way less calories.. Of course I love adding ranch to em at the end, so ya.. another story there.0
