Are you adding exercise too? I think if you add exercise, it will take the exercise calories off the total...

so are you saying that you are netting 300 calories a day?

    aka
    eating 1200 calories
    exercising for 900 calories
    net = 300?

If so, this is not good.

This is only not good....THIS IS FRIGGIN' DANGEROUS. Keep on going down this path and metabolic stall will be the least of your concerns.

OP...you need to at minimum net to the 1,200 calorie goal...which means if you burn 900 calories you need to eat back those 900 calories. The caloric deficit is already built into the 1,200 calorie goal and it is already a substantial one. If you can't properly fuel your body, stop the exercise...you don't need it to lose the weight, your 1,200 calorie goal (net) will do that for you.

Use your diet for weight control and exercise for fitness. If you can't properly fuel your body, DON'T EXERCISE!

If you've only got 8lbs to lose then yes, you should definitely be eating more. As you move towards your goal you should decrease you cals to only a small deficit of say 10% off your TDEE.

If you are only netting 300 cals some days that is not a healthy way to lose weight. If it didn't work and STICK with weight watchers, why are you doing the same thing again? You will get the same results.

Check out this link. Run your numbers and see what a woman, at your age, at your weight should be eating to lose in a healthy way. If it's not working? FIx it.

I would seek medical guidance. Netting 300 cals is harming your body. People with eating disorders eat like this and end up hospitalized.

I maintained my weight on 500 calories per day.

Now I'm maintaining my weight on 2100 calories per day.

Not advocating that starvation mode exists, just saying that this was my experience. Take what you will from it.

Netting 300 is not a diet. It is disordered eating. You need to double your intake, then eat back exercise calories. You will gain water weight, but it will level off once your body is fueled again.

If eating 1200 calories gives you anxiety, you need to seek help from an ED specialist.

Because you aren't eating enough. You could potentially damage your internal organs and will certainly lose muscle mass. Instead of focusing on weight loss, focus on fat loss.

With only 20 lbs to lose, you should be aiming for 1/2 lb per week. Also, you need to fuel your body or all you will do is lose muscle.. This is the issue with WW as it's way too low calorie and you end up killing your lean body mass. For example, do you ever see really fit people in WW meetings? I know I didn't when I wife did the program. If you want a lean and tight body, then you need to eat enough and train hard.

Ah, now I think I understand. I would have tried to help before, but the lack of punctuation and capital letters had me confused as to what, exactly, you were trying to say.

It sounds as though you are only eating about 900 Calories every day. And your homepage has a big "300" on it, and maybe a message that you aren't eating enough Calories. That's because MFP is set up to warn people if they eat below 1200 Calories in a particular day. In short, you're probably slowing your metabolism down by eating so few Calories. If you eat 1200 (or more) Calories, you a) won't get the message that you're eating too little; b) slowly increase your metabolism; c) probably feel better.

You don't have to be underweight to have disordered eating or an eating disorder, just putting that out there.

But, if your attitude towards food is healthy, you're just misguided. Even a net of 1200 is too low for most people, especially those who do not have much to lose.

If you are consistently netting 1200, please do have your takeaway every now and then, and don't worry about it. It will get your overall calories up a bit, which can be metabolically beneficial.

By any chance did you say you want to lose 2lb per week? Change it to lose 0.5lb or maintain (you'll still lose) and eat your calorie allowance. Take some advice from the people who've been doing this for a long time and are doing it successfully. It's a marathon, not a sprint :flowerforyou:
