What do you listen to when you're working out?

metal or techno: whitechapel, cannibal corpse, devil driver, lamb of god, decapitated, abigail williams, the faceless, dub step skrillex ect0
-
Manson0
-
House, dubstep, hardstyle. Mostly hardstyle though :bigsmile:0
-
Madonna - Lucky Star. Over, and over, and over, and over, and over.0

I put on Pandora on shuffle. I have everything from the Oldies to Country to Hard Rock and Alternative0
-
Amon Amarth's 2006 release With Oden on Our Side, or Daft Punk's ALIVE 2007.0

I have possibly the most random mix of music on my mp3 player. I can go from listening to The Beatles, to System of a Down, to Beethoven, to Lady Gaga. It's amazing. My favourite mix was when my mp3 went from System of a Down to the Olympic fanfare to Bowie. That made my elliptical time much more fun!
I have a similar mix, it's always nice when the mp3 surprises you! although there is an overwhelming amount of metal- i really find Rob Zombie brilliant as workout ( and driving) music.0 -
EDM & hip-hop. ~0
-
Everything from Disco to Rap to Rock to Pop. I randomize the playlist and just skip the songs that are not doing it for me at the time. When I run I find I am a bit more selective.0
-
I like to listen to classic rock, Kelly Clarkson, and Drop Kick Murphies. But lately I've been listening to stand up comedy. My runs go by a lot faster when I listen to that. However, I'm sure I look like a moron giggling on the tredmill.0

Is listening to megadeth when you train cheesy?
I need to know, because I'm rather enjoying it.
I love megadeth.
Me too: all he stuff of theirs I had was on tape and long since lost, but I found that they had done a 'best of' and I found the notion of a megadeth 'greatest hits' so funny I had to buy it.0 -
hmmm..flo rida on pandora radio0
-
My usual playlist is Korn (old school), Slipknot, and Adema.
Surprisingly, the other day I was doing deadlifts and Billie Holiday came on (my iPod happened to be on shuffle that day). I didn't want to stop in the middle of a set to change it, but I really didn't mind.
Is that weird??0 -
Rap and R&B. The kind that makes you feel like you're hard core. Like you own the b*tch. :smokin:0

YES!! The only time I don't have road rage is when I'm listening to metal!0 -
I listen to Pandora....its either Snoop Dog Radio or Dr. Dre Radio.
I hate rap music, but I noticed I can get into it when Im at the gym. It gives me the motivation.0 -
When on lifting weights/walking:
SOAD
Foo Fighters
Shakira
Gnarls Barkley
Nicole Scherzinger
and whatever makes me feel strong!0 -
I do my speed rope to Rage Against the Machine!0
-
I like alot of those. I also throw in some Pink, Lady Gaga, Dead Mau5, Trace Adkins, Toby Keith, VNV Nation, Anders Manga....needless to say, what I listen to is all over the board. About the only thing I don't have on my playlist is rap. I've never been big into it, and most of the newer stuff is crap, imo. If I can sing/dance to it, I usually listen to it. My husband, on the other hand, is definitely much more of a metalhead.0
-
I listen to Van Morrison - Moondance as I'm getting things set up to lift. It kind of erases anything else that may get in my way for my workout. Then I flip on Spotify with a Skrillex or Deadmau5 radio and let the music spin.0

Led Zepplin-Kashmir, Black Dog
Defleppard-Rock it, Pour some Sugar
Beastie Boys-Paul Revere, Brass Monkey, Intergalactic
Cool Down -
Third Day-Love Song
Bon Jovi-Hallelujah0 -
Kanye West – Stronger0
-
Lately- Roar by Katy Perry!0
-
For lifting, I couldn't care less. Music, books, TV, whatever.
For running... anything that has the right tempo. I have an iPod list with a really bizarre collection of music, from marching songs to Russian pop music, and the only thing it all has in common is it's all got the same meter. :P0 -
When I'm running, Classic Rock! haha I don't know why, I think it's easier for me to get through when I can sing every word to a good song!
When I'm toning, hip hop and rap0 -
Whatever is in my LastFM library mix. I've got over 800+ artists in there, & 10,000 loved tracks, so I get a mix & a variety. It keeps me entertained by what comes on.
If I use Pandora, it varies what station. Usually anything between:
Nine Inch Nails.
Skinny Puppy.
The Sisters Of Mercy.
Stabbing Westward.
Erasure.
Depeche Mode.
The Cure
etc..
But then I dig pop, & oldies stuff too, so mostly anything that's in the library.0 -
EDM
Trance to get me in the zone
House to lift some heavy *kitten* weight0 -
Either
a) Nothing; or
b) BBC Radio 5 Live; or
c) Podcasts. Stuff like: In Our Time, Start The Week, Kermode and Mayo, Thinking Aloud.0 -
usually I have to listen to the ****e they put on in the gym as I mostly forget to take my ipod, phone etc...
