ALL foods have some sort of Calorie Value, but the ones I've listed here have so little calories that your body burns it without doing anything at all, that's why it is listed under the ZERO calorie foods: OMG. I am going to boil me some cabbage: I love it! and it's NO calories!

I don't think you can burn MORE simply by digesting these foods but if you eat a bowl of lettuce for 7 calories and you BURN 50 calories per half hour just existing the two cancel each other out, wouldn't you think?

I log them ALL...looking at my diary for just the first half of today (I haven't had dinner yet), I have had 126 calories worth of these foods.
Yes, it's good to know which things are lowest in calories, but they are not actually free. Some days I eat 200 calories worth of these items!
Besides, most of these have carbs and fiber, so if you look at the count for those, you'll want to log them!
Those 126 calories I mentioned had 25 carbs, 3 protein, and 5 fiber!
Thank you for the list, it is nice to know the lowest calorie items, but I just didn't want anyone thinking they were truly "free".0 -

This site says a cup of watermelon is 45 calories. That I could eat in about 5 minutes so not my idea of free but I do love watermelon. Maybe I can eat it while I'm on the stationary bike lol.0

Good point. I think I have too much of a Weight Watchers mentality! HAHA. Personally I eat way too few vegetables to bother logging them but that number is going to be different for everyone.0 -

I discovered a calorie-free food last night. Mustard. 1 tbsp...the only thing it has is 55mg of sodium. I read in Shape that a girl lost weight by first replacing mayonnaise with mustard & I didn't see how she got the idea to do that...then I opened my fridge and my eyes went :noway: and then my face went :bigsmile: and I put some all over my tuna. :happy:0
