Nostalgia: What were the best concerts you ever attended?

I've been to WAY too many concerts to count, but I have to say that the very best show I've been to, ever, was the KMFDM show in 2011 that I went to. I showed up early early because my mom & I got in a fight when I was getting ready at her place on my way to the show. It was 100F outside at like 5:15 when I got there, and I was just going to camp out front until I could go in, at least I'd be on the rail. Well, Sascha & Lucia were out front meeting fans, smoking a cigarette, and I got to meet them. Then it turned out that there was a meet & greet that they had put on Twitter that I didn't know about, and I was the only one there already that didn't have admission for it. Sooooo.. they let me come on in anyways. I got to hang out with my favorite band of 27 years, I got to meet their daughter and talk with the most gorgeous Italian boys ever too. Yeah.....
I have about a bazillion of these stories. My top 10 concerts ever:
 KMFDM - 2011
 Peter Gabriel - 2011
 The Cult - 2009
 Combichrist - 2011
 Depeche Mode - 2009
 Peter Murphy - 2011
 VNV Nation - 2008
 NIN - 2008
Emilie Autumn - 2011 (I can't wait to see her again in 3 weeks!)
Love & Rockets - 1999 (one of their last shows ever, and I was 'with the band' - and the only one of these that I'll cite when I was with my exhusband)
And I'm pretty damn sure that all of these will be trumped by Nick Cave & The Bad Seeds in April.
Um... yeah - music is my whole life, and live music more than most.0

it's been many years since the last time i went to a concert, but my top 3 would be something like this...
 - U2 when they were still playing arenas back in early 1985 (The Unforgettable Fire tour).
 - The Cure in 1987.
 - Gene Loves Jezebel/New Order/Echo & the Bunnymen in 1987.
WOW.... Man, I *wish* I'd been able to see some of those. *snarf* I've been to two incredible Cure shows - once was when they shot Hard Rock Live for VH1, one of two times I've flown to NYC, and I was a VIP guest... I still wish I lacked enough morals to swipe that DAT tape. And then a few months later, the promo show they did at The Palace in LA, both were for Bloodflowers and among the first shows they played for the Dream Tour. Love that band. I missed them on the last tour because of conflicts and reschedules. 0 0

This is a weird range of music, but The Ramones, Blackie and the Rodeo Kings (unbelievable live), Neko Case, Daniel Lanois, The Beatfarmers, Paul Kelly.
All created a live experience that can't be replicated in their recorded music.0

From what I have been told,I had the most fun at Peter Frampton :blushing:
My all time favorite was Carol King and James Taylor. Since I was 11, I went to their music to sooth me when things were very bad, so it was a dream come true to sit close up and personal and listen 0 0
