This has a little to do with weight and fitness, but mostly chit chat. Mobile Alabama has Mardi Gras and Great Beaches to get in shape for. I would love to hear about other places. Where do you live? What fun acitivities, carnivals, festivals, amusements or traditions does your town / state have. I might want to plan a road trip and visit some of these fun places. I love hearing about other places. (I have not lived many diffrent places). What is FUN TO DO IN YOUR TOWN???????????????

    My favorite in Texas is the Hill Country rivers and the Devil's River.

    I'd say the Devils, upper Nueces, Frio, Medina, Comal, San Marcos, and Guadalupe are the prettiest (in order).

    Beautiful beaches
    Snowy Mountains (in the winter)
    Disneyland
    Knotts Berry Farm
    Six Flags/Magic Mountain
    Aquariums
    Sports Venues (6 big ones within 30 miles)
    Various theatres
    Food to die for

    We got it ALL!

    My state/town brings in 500,00 people from around the world in one week every summer.... Its called the Sturgis Motorcycle Rally........ Oh, yeah, we also have Mt Rushmore.

    Oh... lets see here.
    Starting from the South:
    We have Key West (remember to do the Duval Crawl)
    Heading North, we have Miami Beach with some of the smallest Bikinis around.
    You can continue North and re-live Spring Break in Ft Lauderdale (if you went to college in the 80's)
    As we continue our Northern drive, we can stop in Palm Beach, the island of the super rich.
    You can make a detour to the North and view the beauty of the Florida Everglades or, head up to Daytona Beach.
    There is the pit stop in Orlando with more theme parks then I can remember.
    And finally, near the Northern tip, you can find St Augestine which is the oldest continuously inhabited European established settlement in the continental United States.
