I do HEMA (Historic European Martial Arts) including fencing, longsword/heavy fighting, and archery. I ride horses as well, and would love to combine the two someday to try jousting, so I'm training my noble steed for that...

I also run to build up endurance for sports, juggle to train my hand-eye coordination, and go on long hikes - we've managed 60km in a day, across mountains - simply because it's fun.

I'm also too impatient to walk everywhere, but think using a car for anything under about 10 km is environmentally questionable, so I cycle just about everywhere in town. I've logged over 1000km in 8 months, just for Going Places.

I refuse to do boring exercise for its own sake, so you'll never catch me on a treadmill.

I play volleyball twice a week with co-workers during my lunch hour. I also run 2-3 days a week, and did 2 half-marathons last year. I always run outside. I hate running on the treadmill.

Tennis and soccer in the spring/summer. It's too cold to be out there for the rest of the year. It's good to mix it up!

    I tan, weather permitting.
  • I don't know if this counts, but I'm a belly dancer. I don't do it for fitness though. I do it because it's awesome.

Tennis. Used to be on a team. But now recreationally.

Football. I was on a female football team a year ago. Loved it but there weren't as many woman interested this year so the league flopped.

does taekwondo count as a sport? I haven't competed yet, but do have my yellow belt. My kids are green stripes and have 5 medals between the two of them.

    I also do Insanity.

I'm a cheerleader, haha. So I get some exercise through tumbling/gymnastics. But most of my workouts are from at-home circuit conditioning, running, weights, etc. stuff that I do on my own either at home, or the gym.

Kickball... yes, with the red rubber ball from elementary school. I'm on a co-ed adult league, and we play year around, outside. Makes for interesting games in the winter when it is snowy! This is not for fitness...but purely for fun!

Not in my city... I WISH - I totally miss bowling... They removed all the bowling lanes to make way for a stupid bigger super store or mall... how dumb is that... I wrote an article about it and sent it to the times colonist and it got published even! (this was in 2006 when it happened)
