Hi Ladies,
I am 56, started on June 5th this year and have lost 35 pounds to date. Feeling good and looking to lose another 75 pounds. Chis Powell is my biggest inspiration.

Hi. I'm 56, joined about 8 weeks ago and had lost 40 lbs before I joined. Since then I'm still losing at the pace that's right for someone who has to relearn better habits and has a LONG LONG way to go. This is a "slowly but surely" process and I call it a 5 year plan. I'm doing this with alot of help. I see a bariatric specialist, my own doctor, a dietician, and along the way I'm going to have to see a psychologist too about the emotional part of my bad eating habits. But I actually have to admit that I'm proud of the fact that though I fight with myself and my urges daily, I'm winning the battle.

I am on the same journey, I am at 40 days and lost 8 pds. A food diary is great, since its in print I make sure I hike every day and plan my days food. Since Menopause it has been an uphill climb.0

I can't remember exactly when I joined MFP but think it was sometime in February 2012. I've lost 53 lbs and have that much more to go. Feel free to friend me. I think this is a joint effort and we need daily support and also laughter. Welcome to MFP. It is the first time I have been willing to track my food and that has been a Godsend. So easy and also fun! We must have fun or it becomes so annoying. Losing weight is hard under any circumstances but this one is a good thing!!0
