How fast should I be losing weight?

I'm a bit concerned. My first two weeks I joined this site I lost 10 pounds, but now I seem to be losing weight slowly... is this normal? Last week I only lost a pound and this week I haven't lost a pound yet.

  • Mmmhm. You lose weight really quickly the first couple of weeks, but then it normally goes to stable level.

    THe first few weeks most people lose quickly due to the decrease in water weight. After that the losses slow as it's much harder to lose fat than water.

    Good weight loss is 0.5 to 2lbs per week depending on how much you have to lose. The larger you are the quicker you can lose for a short time.

    Thank you both, I just need to stop freaking out about the number on the scale and focus more on my fitness and eating right.
