Logging 30DS

I have the 30DS but have been waiting to start it until I got a pedometer so I can log how much calories I have burned. Is it necessary to have one or is there another way to log it?

I just started it, and i've been logging it as general aerobics0

Log as cardio?0

I wear my HRM and it is about 330 calories for level 1. (but I am very overweight)
It's not as high as cardio because it is half cardio and half weights.0 -
I use circuit training.0

I log all of the JM videos (30DS, Shred it With Weights, and Killer Abs) as circuit training.0

i use general circuit training0

my hubby uses circuit training to log it.0

Circuit Training, General.
Also, do you mean a Heart Rate Monitor? Because a Pedometer would NOT give you accurate calorie burn for a work out video like this.0 -
I got the calories per minute for my weight and entered it under "My exercises" As far as I know MFP then adjusts it for me as I lose weigh (I hope, I better look into that).
I googled "Jillian Michael 30 day shred calorie burn" and tons of stuff come up. I chose the live-strong site since it gave me enough info to do the reverse math.0 -
I also log it as circuit training general:)0

That is what I mean, thanks!0

So logging it as General circuit training seems to be accurate? What happens when you get to levels 2 & 3? What are the differences? Is it the same exercises but just longer periods of time?0

Sometimes it's a little high, but I have found personally that it's not off enough that it makes a huge difference. Like, only by 10 - 50 cals. Levels 2 and 3 are the same amount of time, just harder exercises. Theoretically, and don't quote me on this because I'm just guessing based on my experience, you would still be burning around the same amount of calories because the progression from one level to the other means you're getting stronger and it's not taking as much effort to do the same level.
Anyone feel free to correct me if I'm wrong!0
