certain programs and weight gain...

so can one tell me why is it that I gain weight when doing JM dvd's but not with slim in 6? they both incorporate cardio, weight and ab work? yet i lost with slim in 6 and never gained nothing but every time i do JM i gain?

    I haven't done Slim in 6, but I have done several of Jillian's programs and never had that issue in the long run. Could it be water retention?

    oh it is water retention but i am curious why i always gain 1-3 lbs when i do Jm ( 30ds or rin30) but i just had finished 5 weeks of slim in 6 and i only lost..... I have done 30ds 3 times and i am on my 3 try of rin30 too and every single time i gained water weight....but yet nothing with slim in 6? hummmm

    OK, easiest way I can say this:


    I have done 30 Day Shred twice now, I think you said you have done it three times. The 30DS workout incorporates cardio and strength training and its done in such a way that makes a lot of people gain.. Your body will retain more water to help repair your muscles which leads to your weight gain. It's temporary.

    Have patience and take measurements/before&after photos, whatever it takes. Personally, I know its hard, but hide your scale when doing 30DS... first time around in August 2012, I lost inches like crazy and about 7-8 lbs in the 30 day period. Right now, I am on D25 and it wasn't until D20 that I finally started losing weight and inches. My scale went up from 174.5 to 181 lbs.. TOM and water retention from muscle contributed to that gain.

    I cannot comment on Slim in 6 cause I never heard of it until you mentioned it.

    imo i think slim in 6 is the same. it incorporates cardio, strength, etc just like 30ds does. the only thing is the 3,2,1 system of 30ds and rin30 that slim in 6 doesn't do. she does cardio type of exercises and then strength in separate segments but all in the same workout span. it's also 1 hr vs 30 min. so that is why i was kinda surprised that i never gained with slim in 6. Some of the exercises are the same in both dvd's as well...
