We are, we are just taught not to admit such things.

Arrgh! I can't believe you're giving away all of our body shame man-secrets! lol

Also.. thanks for getting this going OP, shedding weight and getting healthy isn't complete without also accepting ourselves as-is. It's easier to progress toward our personal goals if we aren't so down on ourselves. IMO...

Ok, figured it out. This was taken last September, 19%-20% body fat range using calipers and an online calculator. I have since lost around 1-2 inches off my gut and love handles, and gotten to about 17.5% body fat just from lifting weights and "eating better." Now I am going to add cardio in to my workouts, as well as track my calories and run a decent defecit. Want to be in the 10-12% range by summer.

I've always had a problem with the other end of the spectrum.... always tall, lanky, scrawny. Then, after an accident in 1991 left me paralyzed from the waist down, it didn't take too long after getting out of the hospital for the weight to start piling on.

It's been a bit of a tough road because a lot of the mainstream info out there doesn't exactly apply to someone in my situation, but then again, we're all different, right?.... and there's no cookie-cutter, one-size-fits-all solution anyway.

So, after modifying my diet and over a year and half to this point of weight training, I've managed to get to what I think is a pretty good size.... now I just have to try and put on some more muscle!!
