i'm fairly new to mfp, I really love all the support and great information.
So, I was wondering what is everyones best piece Of advice?
The one thing that you swear has been your key to overall health and weight loss.
Just need a little pumping up this Friday.

    For me it has been to realize that it won't happen overnight. I used to drop weight very quickly, but now in my thirties it doesn't come off quite as quickly.

    To forgive yourself when you make mistakes and immediately get back on the program. Consistency is the most important thing.
  • It only takes 4 weeks for you to see a change in your body.
    It only takes 8 weeks for friends and family to see a change in your body.
    It only takes 12 weeks for the rest of the world to see a change in your body!!

    This is my favorite saying that I tell myself and anyone that comes to me for advice, you have to give it longer that a couple weeks. :wink:

    I think my big thing I've learned is start strength training/weights right at the beginning.
    I was had that old mentality stuck in my head that weights for when you were finished losing weight.
    But I look better now at 163 than I did at 155 a few years ago when I was at my lightest.
    I still have 15lbs I'd like to lose but I'm ok if that takes me another year because my shape is still continuing to improve from strength training.
