What does "eating clean" mean exactly? Or what does it mean to you?0
-
It's hard to provide you with a list as "eating clean" is basically a made up term and everyone has their own definition of what it is.
What I understand it to be is eating no processed food, or eating food as close to it's natural state as possible. Basically, it sucks. If you are worried about nutrition as you say, maybe just try eating a balanced diet from all food groups. Clean eating seems too restrictive to me, a lot of processed food is very healthy and beneficial to you.0 -
If it needs an ingredients list then it's not 'clean'.0

Clean eating doesn't have to suck......just need to prepare ahead of time!0 -

Great help there.
It does not suck at all. Last night for dinner I had homemade lamb and coriander burgers, with sweet potato chips and baba ganoush. I personally follow mainly a 'primal' way of eating, and the site Marks daily apple, even if youre not primal, has some great clean eats recipes.
Lots of meat, fish, veg, nuts, eggs, fruit, spices. I think I eat pretty 'clean' and my average day is something like
2 eggs, bacon/smoked salmon and spinach (scrambled, omelette)
Mid morning snack-turkey, nuts,a spoon of almond butter
Lunch is usually a salad made up of...avocado, chicken/tuna/mackerel, sweet potato/eggs and leaves, gherkins and cucumber.
Mid afternoon snack- protein shake, or same as morning.
Dinner is meat, lots of veg, sometimes some sweet potato or rice, for instance, last night was steak, ratatouille and roasted cauliflower.0 -

I HIGHLY reccomend reading a book by Tosca Reno called "the eat clean diet"
Very informative and 100% on point. This among other things have changed my life. I am not 100% clean yet. Some processed stuff still sneaks in, thats life...but I have so much more energy and my emotions seem to be far more balanced as well. Best of luck to you , feel free to look at my diary if you like.0 -
Try a golden shower

I believe clean eating is shopping on the outside of a grocery store. Meaning don't buy much food in the isles. Everything is fresh. Read your labels and eat every two to three hours. I have been clean eating since November. Clean eating has changed my life. Last year, I trained for my first marathon but didn't change my eating habits. I lost some weight, not as much as expected and was tired ALL the time. This year I'm training for my second marathon. I am clean eating and have lost seven pounds since November . I have a TON more energy and sleep better. I haven't felt at all like I am missing out on any foods. There are a ton of recipes for clean eating on Pinterest. Also, I try to only buy things from the grocery store that have three or less ingredients on the label. If there are more than that, I make sure that all ingredients are natural. No added chemicals. Oh and I am a working (40 hrs a week) mother of two, it is totally doable no matter how busy you are.0
