Teenager wanting to be healthier.

Options
Hi, hello. (:
I just joined this site today after finally deciding to do
something about my body and how I'm not very
comfortable with it.

If anyone has tips or suggestions for me to lose
weight, that would be fantastic. (:

    Welcome
We are the same age  Just stick with the site and excercise, it won't be easy all the time, but if you push yourself, you'll see results. Good luck!

Great job, ladies! It is wonderful to see young people wanting to be fit and healthy the right way!

CaseyLynn, you are right on with your advice.

Zombiegirl, my advice would be to remember that food is not your enemy...make sure you eat enough of the right kind of foods (whole grains, fruit, veggies, proteins, and the "good" fats).

    I wish you both well.

The main thing is to do just what you said. Be healthier... try making healthier choices food and exercise wise.

It is not all about the number of pounds you lose...

Make sure you get at least your minimum on calories, even after exercise changes them. Give it time... and try not to get discouraged.

You look very thin in your pictures. Are you sure you want to lose weight or do you want to tone up your body so it looks better in clothes?

The first and biggest change to make is learning to eat healthy. First rule of eating healthy: stay away from processed foods.
This site has good information about ingredients that should be avoided.

PS. Good for you making the decision to take the first steps to being healthier and more fit.

    Thank you, gonzaway. (:
But my face is pretty thin looking despite me being 5'2" and 158 pounds. :P
