Is it normal for my weight to stay the same even tho I started excersizing everyday and eatting a lot less calories then I used to. I've been the same weight for about 2 weeks now. I feel like my diet is slipping because of the scale discuraging me =/ idk what else to do. Losing modavation =(

The answer isn't gonna be the same for everybody, but I would suggest mixing up your workout. Google HIIT, and don't give up. If there's a workout program you've been wanting to do, start it up! Cool hike you've been wanting to check out, go do it! My advice is to keep moving, watch your sodium levels, and have fun with it0

I'm having the same problem and I'm getting VERY frustrated. I work out every day, I am extremely careful about my calories and i'm doing insanity so the work outs are different every day...my body is just being a huge jerk. Just keep with it and don't stop trying because that will only make you backwards. I'm actually wanting to talk to a nutritionist to see if a professional can shed some light as to what the heck is going on with me. Hang in there!0

"excersizing everyday and eatting a lot less calories then I used to."
1) You may be eating too few calories, especially if working out everyday. (Lots of good posts on here about calculating your BMR and TDEE, and what those numbers mean)
2) Weight loss is not linear
3) You look like you have the 'last' bit to lose. It's going to come off SLOWLY. Aim for 0.5 pound a week.0 -
Not sure if your sold on the idea of taking measurements or progress pics, but they do more for me nowadays then the scale does. Just a suggestion0
-
I would get discouraged too. Then I switched to measurements and I would somehow mess that up and I would feel even worse, lol.
So now I just weigh myself once a month; and it's working out MUCH better for me. I put my scale up in my closet, out of sight, out of mind.0 -
Snap its a pain. I am trying to change my exercise to include some circuits etc hopefully I will get back fully in the zone and see the scale moving again.
Good luck.0 -
Read the Taubes book. Exercise isn't going to do it. Depends where your calories are coming from. Cut out carbs. Eat all the grass fed beef and green vegetables you want.0

My scale has barely moved in months, Doesn't really bother me that much any more. I judge from progress pics, it's a lot easier than trying to judge your success than l;ooking at a number on a scale.0

Started exercising = muscles retaining more water = scale doesn't move or even goes up.
Just keep doing what you are doing and drink enough water, and the scale will eventually move in the right direction. :flowerforyou:0 -
MY scale wasn't moving either then I figured out my tdee and now I'm losing 1-2 pounds a week. I'm eating just under 1500 calories.0

You are using the wrong king of scale
We were just having the discussion on my profile and I prefer the old time scales with knob on front for below reasons

Thanks everyone. I actually have been losing a few inches in my waist but not in my gut where I need it most. I am also breastfeeding so its hard for me to really determin how many calories I really need. I did my bmr asn TDEE or what ever its called and it said eat between 1500 and 2003. Sooo idk..0

Let me get this right...
You are trying to tell me that exercise won't help you lose weight and only eating grass fed beef and green vegetables will??0 -

Don't get me wrong, I'm a huge advocate for eating well. I'm pretty sure I eat better than anyone I know personally right now. But exercise is HUGELY important.0 -
As an oversimplification, yes. As I said, read the book for the detail.
Natural grass fed meat, wild fish, green vegetables....all you want. I'm new at this but minus 37 pounds since the day after Thanksgiving. Eat the right kind of meat (with the fat) three meals a day.
Exercise is fine for "toning" but a losing battle when it comes to weight loss.
The devil's in the carbs....take them down below 30 grams a day.0 -

I'm guessing you've done absolutely no research into low carb diets and the health risks involved? Carry on then...0
