Skinny Saturday Challenge

I feel a Skinny Saturday Challenge coming on! If you have trouble getting through the weekend, hop onboard and join the SSC! :flowerforyou: Here is what it entails:
Think double, double, double...
Double the exercise
Double the water intake (within healthy limits) :drinker:
Double the willpower to STOP eating after dinner and log every bite that passes your lips :happy:
All you have to do is commit now and then report in tomorrow on how it is going and to encourage others. Remember to stay within your calorie limits and log every bite. This is just what we need to meet Mr. Scale with a smile on our face! :bigsmile:
I know one thing...I am soooooooooooooooooo in! Bring it on Saturday! Let the fun begin! :laugh:

I am running my very first 5k tomorrow, so I would say that is double the exercise for me!
I drink a ton of water anyway, so I'm set for that!
As for food, I will definitely be watching what I eat tomorrow since Sunday is my "cheat" day every week, and I'm hosting a Mother's Day brunch!

I am sort of new here.. been on here for a month now but havent really checked out the message board too much. I would love to join in this skinny saturday challenge. Hopefully I can do it since I will be home for mothers day dinner and a few drinks - so hopefully I do not eat after dinner, and if I do I will post it here. I will try and do LOTS of exercise before I hit the road tomorrow0

I'm in! I've only been here a week, but I'm already starting to make that...gasp...calories in calories out connection. If I want to cheat, I must earn the calories with extra workout time. Weekends screw me up every time, so this will be a good start. Thanks!0

I am in. We are doing a practice triathlon tomorrow
10 min ocean swim
40 min bike ride
30 min run
The club I am in is doing these once a month now that it has warmed up. They get longer as the season progresses also.0 -

I saw this topic last week and tried it.... it was great! I exercised three times throughout the day and ate extra healthy. I was very proud of myself for sticking to the plan. I am definitely in for this Saturday too!! (In fact, I have been looking forward to it!)

I love this idea! I'm so in!! :laugh: It's good to break the thought cycle that on the weekend we can eat whatever we like and forget about our health. I'll definitely watch my foods just like I do on any other "good" day. :happy: Thanks for the idea! I'll try to remember it each Saturday.0

So excited to have all of you join the SSC! It is just what we need to get through the weekend strong! Yes, it's Mothers Day Weekend....and yes, it is always going to be something!!! So let's plan for it and burn some extra cals and be conscious of what we are putting in our mouths. I love the accountability of these challenges. Saturday used to be a real challenge to get through. I would end up blowing it and throw in the towel for the weekend! :grumble: No more of that! Thanks to the support of the SSC I am strong on Saturday and confident I will get through the weekend without undoing everything I worked so hard for during the week! Why, thank you for your suport! :smooched:
I have started the weekend off with a bang...rolled oats and sugar free syrup. I am pumped to do my first workout before heading to a Mothers Day luncheon (where I have planned to order a healthy grilled chicken salad). I will drink an ocean of water and check back in later. This evening I will work another workout in the schedule. I am impressed with the athletes that have joined us this weekend....triathalons, 5Ks...oh my! I predict some major calories burned this weekend. You guys rock! Good luck and know you are winners in my book everyday...especially Skinny Saturday! :blushing:

Skinny Saturday - great idea! I'm going to need lots of team spirit to help me get through a rainy day & holiday too! Journaling my exercise & food has been very helpful. I'll be checking back later today. Good luck everyone!0

Hi all well today I have yoga and shoping ( for fun stuff and food) starting the day off right whit a B.F. and a quick pumping I will try really hard to get a 2nd workout in. Also I need to fouce on my water intake still wish it tasted more like A&W oh well. good luck to every one eals.0

Well, so far, so good. Did an extra workout this morning them went to work--which is a workout in itself! (We are supposed to rotate the Sat. shift but no one else was available so I worked it. Of course that means I get the next time I'm supposed to work it off!)
Lost track of how much water I've had--I know I've refilled my bottle twice and it is empty again so it is at least 72 oz. I also had a lot every time I went by the water cooler!
Food has been good so far--leftovers from the week.
Going to go grocery shopping soon. I think we'll grill tomorrow. I don't really want to go out to eat because we have my daughter's baby shower to go to.

So far so good for me too - I went to the gym and ran 3.76 miles and ususally I never make it to the gym on the weekend..so that's a plus - and Im drinking my water!0
