Raw almonds? What can I use them for?

I have 6 pounds of raw almonds. They are unpasteurized so I know I'll have to roast them, but what do you do with them? Almond butter? Milk? Just plain roasted? I need ideas please!

Almond pesto is delicious. I also like to roast them with some olive oil and smoked paprika for a snack.

Here they are being the protein in a pasta dish:

Jealous! I'd sneak them in homemade granola bars, chop them on yogurt or oatmeal or fried rice, grind for almond butter... I wonder if you could find any kind of homemade skin care product online to make...

    I want.

    Edited to add "homemade"

No need to roast them. Eat them raw, make almond milk, throw some in a smoothie, chop them and add them to a salad or yogurt.

I also use this recipe with cashews, although they are higher in fat. Awesome snack/party food.

I am so addicted to almonds, almond butter, almond mild. Almonds are so wonderful! I eat them on salads with chicken, chicken encrusted with almonds are amazing. make almond butter with it, no need to add anything to it. They are so wonderful!

With 6 pounds, do everything!!
But do it fast, or keep them in the freezer. Nuts can go rancid in a month or two at room temperature.

Slice up some brussel sprouts and toss with Basalmic vinegar and oil and pepper and salt and roast. Toss in toasted almonds. Yum!
  • i would grind them up in a food processor to turn them into almond flour..then mix the almond flour with 1 egg some cinnamon
some sugar substitute then drop them on a hot griddle and make low carb pancakes I am diabetic so this works for me you can use almond flour in place of flour, dredge chicken or fish in them sprinkle on some chili powder or paprika and bake..i have friends that use pecans the same way use it for pie crust mix ground nuts with little butter or if your vegan mix with mashed dates pour into a pie pan and pour cream cheese bar mixed with coco powder chill slice eat with raspberries

I thought that they have to be pasteurized. These are truly raw, not steamed or anything yet. They are 'bootleg' almonds, not sold to the public.

If you get your almonds from a store, and they say "raw" you do not need to cook them. If you get almonds off a tree, you need to cook first. Roasting works well.

I would make cookies! lots of cookies, lol
