Alright you heathens - ART!

I love, love, love art. Not in some high faluten way. I couldn't tell you one style of painting from another, or ramble off too many famous photographers. I just know what I like. So I thought I might share, and would love to be turned on to some other cool artists you might be in to. So share and share alike! Could be painting, music, photos, clay, you pick it.

To start, here are two artisits I follow.

First is Leonid Afremov. Wonderful use of color and I love the 'wetness' of the look. A mix of dreamy and reality.

Then is a very cool, contemporary mixed media artist, Shintaro Ohata

What is cool about this is the depth he creates using modeling and painting, and the perfect blending of color and texture. So you see this:

    Love Leonid Afremov! I haven't every seen Shintaro Ohata's work, but I do love art that is outside the box like that, I'll have to look into them.

    Ohata just blast on the scene recently. Watch for a lot of popularity to follow. He hits that Anime demographic and hopeuflly can pull them in to something with more depth than 2d cartoons.

    from a well know local artiest in my area. I was lucky enough to work in an office where he displayed his painting for 6 months.
