When I started on MFP I was 186 with a 1300 goal, now im about 165 and I lowered to a 1200 goal. I would like to keep my weight loss at about 1-2lbs a week. but I feel like I am starting to slow down now. Im still feeling kind of lost with my calorie goal.

MFP will automatically suggest a new calorie goal for you when you have lost a certain amount of weight.0

To answer your question I adjusted mine every 10 lbs. But you should be decreasing your deficit as you approach your goal, not increasing it. You want a smaller deficit and plenty of protein so that you retain as much muscle as possible.
